Self-immolation is the beginning of a misfortune for a woman, family and the society. Because a woman who immolates her self, if survives, should spend much time for remedy and may come across with an apparent anomaly for ever. This study was aimed to evaluate the demographics characteristic of self-immolated women. Since public information and studies in such cases, undoubtedly, are very effective in reducing self-infliction in women, in this regard, in addition to the previous studies, a questionnaire was prepared by the researchers, given to 100 self –immolated women hospitalized in Ahwaz Taleghani hospital, these women were interviewed as well. Results showed that literacy and educational levels, suitable job, culture and economical conditions, risk of factors related to marital status, age, and mental and personality disorders are important factors in self-immolation.
