Abstract

The purpose of the present study was to have a sociological analysis of the effective factors on the women's addiction. The sample included 100 addicted women in Royesh Addiction Treatment Center for Women in Arak. The study was a survey and the data were collected through implementing questionnaires along with interviewing the participants. The inferences were done based on three approaches of Cloward and Ohlin, Sutherland and Hirschi. Independent variables in this study were SOCIAL LEARNING, SOCIAL CONTROL, ISOLATION and the dependent variable were the amount and the duration of drug usage. Data analysis was done based on descriptive and inferential statistics such as Kendall's coefficient of concordance b and c. The results revealed that more SOCIAL CONTROL, avoiding being in contact with criminals and lawbreakers, dependence and good relationship among family members, religious beliefs, to lessen communications and breaking up with addicted friends and criminals, taking part in social activities, helping others in reaching their goals and being successful and providing them with legal resources and equipment help to reduce the prevalence of addiction among women.
