This research reviews the global studies and experiences in quality of urban life and identifies different indicators drawn from different experiences from various space and time. Then, theses indicators are examined by a number of Tehran's managers and experts in urban management in terms of importance.It is in fact tried to review indicators and common categories of the sense of quality of urban life and present some local indicators and categories that suit the political and administrative conditions of the urban management system in Iran and in Tehran Metropolis. It is hoped that using the local indicators in the future, we could be able to monitor and measure the quality of life Iranian and Tehran citizens. In this study, among a total of 114 indicators and 16 major groups of these indicators, 93 indicators in 14 categories, (main indicators) were classified as local indicators for measuring and monitoring the level of quality of urban life of citizens in Tehran (Iran).

This research is functional, purpose wise and descriptive (correlation), method wise. The statistical population includes all teachers, professionals and executers in management, social sciences and culture. In this study, random sampling method was used and 150 questionnaires were distributed among the studied samples.131 questionnaires were fully completed an d returned to the researcher. The data collection tools in this study have been questionnaires.The questionnaires were prepared in two parts of: a) individual characteristics and b) 40 questions. According to the results obtained from testing the research hypotheses and evaluation of opinions of experts, among the eight components, economic factors in Tehran were in the first place, original economic factors were in the second place and political factors in Tehran were in the last place of being influential in the migration to Tehran Metropolis.

Today, a correct and strategic look at transportation as an economic activity is an important concern, so that the features of transportation and its related policies are of the basic factors of growth of traffic volume.In this article, some definitions are presented for transportation and its historical process, and types of vehicles, how to use them, traffic and its roots, origin and d is advantages of this problem has been studied. Afterwards, public transportation systems and its strategic policies and benefits are overviewed; the definition of sustainable cities, sustain able urban development and their various aspects are concerned from a new perspective.Also, with a look at each of the mass passenger Transport vehicles -including bus, train, subway, and tramway- it is tried to review the positive points and disadvantages to each of the modern Transport systems in the world.

According to opinions of experts, the weak economic structure is the most important components and in the first position, poor planning and urban management system in the second, lack of government support and guidance is in third place, political events in fourth place, natural disasters in fifth place and social events at sixth place influence the development of suburbanization in Tehran Metropolis.

The purpose of this article is to identify barriers to the development of geographical information systems and to provide solutions in Shiraz City Hall. For this purpose, by identifying thee statistical population and selecting the descriptive research method, the hypotheses of previous studies are drawn in form of questionnaires for conducting a survey among the statistical population. After analyzing the statistical data, it was determined that all the five hypotheses were confirmed, so that according to the statistical population, financial problems, safety and technical problems, cultural problems, lack of use or poor use of geographic information systems in other municipalities and related organizations in the field of urban services of the City Hall of Shiraz and the lack of familiarity of high-ranking managers and members of the City Hall off Shiraz (urban managers) with the capabilities of geographic information systems, prevent the development of geographic information systems in the field of urban services of Shiraz City Hall. Finally, referring to the second statistical population i.e. experts and scholars off developing geographic information systems, their proposed solutions to elimination of barriers to development are offered.

This article was written with the purpose of measuring the dissatisfaction of Navab district through four factors of social­ environmental (including lack of environmental health component, not feeling safe, sound pollution and air pollution). Study sample included 270 questionnaires and the data was analyzed data using the SPSS software. The results of the research show that all the expected factors in the empirical model within the studied field have a significant relationship with the residents' dissatisfaction rate with their environment (P<.05). In general, Navab residents' dissatisfaction among the factors reviewed were evaluated above its average (5 <3.41> 1 with theoretical mean of 3). The annoyance of the residents has been high and more than average. The highest rate of dissatisfaction of the residents has been due to sufering from the air pollution (3>2.89> 1withh theoretical mean of 2) and the lowest has been due to the Environmental Health (3>2.02>1 with theoretical means of 22) was evaluated which was evaluated moderate. The results from studying the three independent variables of gender, age and length of stay in area influencing the amount of dissatisfaction, the results showed that none of these variables have influenced the perception of residents' annoyance (P>.005).

This article tries to explain the types off damageable textures and indices of identification of worn textures and indicates the causes of its emergence. It also offers some suggestions to exit from the current situation and to modernize the urban texture. For this purpose, using the experience of the city of Kashmar, these approaches were experimentally evaluated.This article deals with the typology of definitions, concepts and improvement strategies for the worn textures, explains the existing worn textures of Kashmar city and their classification using hierarchical AHP analysis method and GIS software and indicates how the effective organs interfere in these textures. Finally the worn textures in the city of Kashmar are classified in four categories "worn textures with historical value", "worn middle textures ", " worn rural ­ urban textures (with a rural core) " and "worn marginal textures" and the way of the intervention of the government and people's participation in the reform and reconstruction is expressed.

Security is a primary and essential right of all people in societies and citizens, and of course the concept of security must be expressed in two dimensions of mental and objective.These two dimensions affect each other completely, and can not be studied separately. In fact, the concept of "security" and understanding it in all aspects (physical, social, psychological, and....) is difficult and therefore promoting it will also be difficult.It is also clear that the army and multiplicity of police and guard forces for a space alone can not guarantee security of the city and of course designing a city al one cannot establish the security in the city. It is clear that prevention of such offenses in any way and establishing the security is more convenient and easier than defeating the crimes. But physic al and social interventions can have a parallel effect on the atmosphere and urban public space and can change the citizens' feeling safe and understanding about their environment and their actual presence in the city. But one of the factors motivating this action is the citizens themselves. They are all aware of their dangerous environment and can provide a safe environment for themselves by an active cooperation by with urban planners.
