Purpose: The purpose of this research was to focus on death anxiety with schema therapy and logo therapy approaches in the treatment of hypochondriasis.Method: The research method was quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest design. The population of the study consisted of all individuals with hypochodriasis and death anxiety. To this end, 28 patients were randomly selected and divided into three groups: experiment 1, experiment 2, and the control group. The first experimental group received 20 sessions of interventional therapy, while the second experimental group received 10 sessions of a meaningful therapeutic intervention. The applied research instruments were death anxiety scale and illness attitude scale. To analyze the data, mixed repeated measure has been used.Findings: The results of mixed repeated measure have showed that schema therapy and logo therapy can decrease death anxiety and hypochondriasis in patients during post-test and follow up. The research has two main results. First of all, the study revealed that schema therapy is highly efficient in treating hypochondriasis which is considered as a disorder resistant to treatment. Secondly, it indicated that focusing on death anxiety in treating hypochondriasis disorder can lead to significant improvements in these patients.
