Abstract: 

Feature film, is one of the most popular means of mass communication, it is also a medium in which all forms of communication is being represented. The main objective of this paper is to examine the representation of intrapersonal communication in cinema and for this purpose we have chosen one of the Krzysztof Kieslowski's films. Kieslowski was one of auteur eastern European filmmakers. In this paper, with emphasis on "the Double Life of Veronique", we have analyzed Kieslowski's special codes in displaying this type of communication. We have applied the semiotic approach to illustrate the usage of signs in this movie. In this article we have shown that the filmmaker, with his special technical codes, has represented both physical and psychological dimensions of a human being. He uses the signs, especially Jungian symbols in "analytical psychology", to display the intrapersonal communication. He illustrate a realistic approach to "dreaming" – one of the key themes in intrapersonal communication – to form a narrative about two dimensions of the main character.

Abstract: 

This research has surveyed the effect of individual differences on success in nonverbal communication with others and also the strategies used to convey concepts. So, 200 Persian speaking people who were homogeneous with respect to age and education (BA students) were chosen by random sampling for the first stage of the research, from the students at Islamic Azad University, Fars science and Research Branch. After conducting psychological tests to reveal introversion /extroversion, state- trait anxiety, self-esteem and Intelligence Quotient (I.Q.), 95 people were chosen by contrasting sampling method to conduct bodily (nonverbal) communication test. The selected subjects performed to use 30 words based on Ricci Bitti and Poggi (1991)'s predicted strategies. Then the success of the participants of different psychological groups in conveying concepts was analyzed. Findings showed that there is a significant relationship between the evaluated psychological and personality characteristics except anxiety and the success in conveying concepts using nonverbal communication. In addition, the strategies used were different from the predicted ones in a lot of cases. Consequently, each type of communication with audiences including nonverbal communication is related to individual characteristics, and most of the psychological variables are important factors in successful nonverbal communication.

Abstract: 

The paper is to study and recognize the Internet effects on the identity from this perspective, in addition to the study's review of the concept of the subject, an integrated approach on the basis of the Giddens’ structuraction and Houston's theories is applied in order to explain the phenomenon. Furthermore, concerning the assumptions of the mentioned theories in regard to the characteristics of the study population, it is strived to determine the relationship between Internet use and user identity. As a matter of fact, the data was collected according to the survey methods in research and techniques using questionnaire survey on 384 young users, selected by cluster sampling, aged between 18 to 28, moreover, depth interview qualitative research was applied in order to complete the data. Thus, the findings indicated that the amount and use of the Internet culminate in alterations in the young users’ national identity so that their personal identity is undermined, furthermore, using the Internet results in strengthening of their ethnic identity while their national identity will fade.

Abstract: 

Identity is essential to any social system, as long as factors of making nations identity cannot be identically integrated, identical and cultural separation among people and ethnics are viewed, Parsonzs socail order will not be fulfilled. In the current paper according to Castells' identity theory as well as social relation between identity and development is examined. In other words, researcher has investigated developmental oriantation in Iran, concerning factors making Iranian identity, including: history, geography, religion, tradition, civilization and people. Additionally, focussing on globalization, the impact of new communication technologies utilize to strengthen (constractional) or distact identity is debated. At the end, the paper concentrated on the influences of emergences of new communication technologies, examining Iranian making identity elements.

Abstract: 

The basic question of this research is the examination of the role of media in the application of the culture of the electricity consumption management between the domestic electricity consumers of Yazd city which can be performed through the method survey measurement.Statistical society has been organized by domestic consumers of Yazd city and the means of obtaining the information was through questionnaire.With regard to the results obtained, the majority of the respondents slogans' were like "attention to energy tag", "use of double glazed glass", "avoiding the use high consumption electrical equipment at peak time" and etc., have been heard through television and the least have been watched or heard in other medias. Therefore, television among the other media has been very active in electricity consumption management slogans and gained a considerable amount of attention. The development of a society as governmental services- not an economical commodity – strategic and as a result low prices from different sections causes the increase in irregular consumption.Training, cultural and advertising campaign in the field of electricity consumption management play vital role in cultural context creation optimization of electricity consumption and energy.

Abstract: 

the research concentrate on impartiality or unbiased states of two local television networks namely IRNN and IRIB Channel One as well as the two overseas channels namely BBC Persian and the newsroom of Manoto channel. In order to answer the above mentioned question, the news coverage of aforementioned channels has been concerned and further examined from the beginning of December 2010 to the February 2011. Researchers checked 217 news items of this television networks by Content Analysis method. The sample size by purposive sampling is 18 statistical days. To assess the fairness16 variables like reflect the views of the parties, invited the parties, use of valuable traits and terms, reasons and results, were studied.The research findings show In reflecting the views of the opinions of the involved groups (proponents and opponents) by anchor or the reporter, more than 80% of the news in IRINN and IRIB channel one was devoted to the proponent group opinions, 50% of the news in Manoto newsroom was devoted to that to the opponents, while the most news in BBC Persian allocated to the opinions of both groups as well as these of neutral groups and most of the news coverage was reflecting the viewpoints of both sides of the concerned issue. Both positively-valued and negatively valued adjectives have been used in all 4 networks.The positively-valued adjectives in the two local networks more than the BBC Persian and the newsroom were used. Using of negatively-valued adjectives in newsroom and news network was considered more than the two other networks. The neutral adjectives were used by BBC Persian more than the others.Despite of the good discussion on guests credential and there background by IRNN and channel one, there was not much attention paid to the background information of the interview is by the BBC the newsroom.All in all, the BBC Persian has shown to be more unbiased in covering the news than all the other networks and the induction of impartiality among for networks is not a significant difference, so much attention was not paid to it.

Abstract: 

Media like other economic and social institutes should employ the scientific and efficient management methods to have maximum efficiency at minimum cost. The management issue has been seriously taken into consideration by the media during the recent years. Many experts are of the opinion that an efficient management system is a key factor which helps the media have successful performance. Given the importance of the issue, we have decided to conduct a comparative study on the effectiveness of management strategies on the performance of in Ettelaat Cultural and Press Institute. In order to evaluate the effects of efficient management system we used the viewpoints of managing directors, correspondents and other personnel of the institute. The result can be used as a model for newly established media.The survey method has been used and a questionnaire prepared to be presented to 384 correspondents and other personnel of the institute. The random sampling method used for conducting the research. SPSS software and theoretical test has been used for analyzing the related data. The chi-square test and Cramer' s correlation coefficients have been used as well.The result of the research shows a significant relation between the management skills with the efficiency indices of management system. And finally a number of proposals have been presented for improving the management efficiency of the media.

Abstract: 

This paper attempts to show how the Iranian audiences to watch films about feminist issues and concepts and how to understand the concepts related to women by the audience analysis. Watching the kind of films can change audience views on women. Usually researchers work on the subject of women in cinema and television paying more attention to decoding of the mentality of such directors and creators of these works. But they did not study the effects of works on viewers. Also their studies did not reflect reviews and opinions about issues, especially women, and view the spectators to the movies. The researcher intends to display ten best-selling films of Iranian cinema in 1387 and holding meetings with two quadruple groups to discuss and exchange ideas about the audience. It seems that before affecting by movies’ messages, the cinema audiences go to movies because they want to experience the common mentality. This experience is depended to their personal experiences. The quality of the film and its creators play important role in making this common mentality.
