Abstract

IDENTITY is essential to any social system, as long as factors of making nations IDENTITY cannot be identically integrated, identical and cultural separation among people and ethnics are viewed, Parsonzs socail order will not be fulfilled. In the current paper according to Castells' IDENTITY theory as well as social relation between IDENTITY and DEVELOPMENT is examined. In other words, researcher has investigated DEVELOPMENTal oriantation in Iran, concerning factors making Iranian IDENTITY, including: history, geography, religion, tradition, civilization and people. Additionally, focussing on globalization, the impact of new communication technologies utilize to strengthen (constractional) or distact IDENTITY is debated. At the end, the paper concentrated on the influences of emergences of new communication technologies, examining Iranian making IDENTITY elements.
