Abstract:

Along with increasing acceleration of developments and changes in the modern world, the process of ongoing transformation is one of the main issues governing human life. Hence, companies and organizations seeking to establish or maintain their competitive advantage are forced to accept flexibility and changes. In such a situation, innovation has become the mainstay of organizations. Success of organizations is primarily rooted in their innovation and management. Competitive advantages arising from innovation change in favor of those organizations which can make use of knowledge, technological skills, and experience to create innovation in their products and the methods to develop and supply them. Given the significance of innovation in the development and performance of organizations, evaluation of innovative capabilities is the most important prerequisite to move toward the deployment of innovative systems in organizations. In this study, Karan Mapna Materials Engineering Company was evaluated using Joe Teide model in five dimensions of organizational processes, organizational climate supportive of innovation, learning, strategy, and external communications. The research method was descriptive-survey and data collection instrument was a questionnaire whose validity was conformed using the judgment of experts and its reliability was confirmed by Cronbach's alpha coefficient running SPSS software. Due to the limited population of the study, census sampling technique was used in this study. Also, to fit the model and confirmatory factor analysis of the indices of the questionnaire, structural equation modeling and PLS software were applied. After the model was fit, 14 indices were removed out of 40 ones. On the other hand, to rank the factors affecting innovation management in Karan Mapna Materials Engineering Company, paired comparison was run using ANP technique in Super Decisions software. Results obtained from the software indicated that strategy was placed in the first rank and learning, processes, structure, organization, and networking factors were placed in the next ranks, respectively.Using the data in the questionnaires in this study, the situation on innovation management in Karan Mapna Materials Engineering Company was addressed. Findings from the study indicated that networking factor was the poorest one and the strategy had the best situation among other factors. In this study, Karan Mapna Materials Engineering Company was evaluated using Joe Teide model in five dimensions of organizational processes, organizational climate supportive of innovation, learning, strategy, and external communications. Abstract:

The assessment of innovation management dimensions can help the firm’s managers in investments, leading the resources towards the right paths, and also selecting the appropriate techniques for obtaining technology. The aim of this research is to assess the effective factors on innovation management in Golestan Company in direction of recognizing the empowering factors in this respect. A number of 40 indices were classified, based on Teidel & Bessant model (2009), in the form of 5 main factors including external relations, strategy, processes, organizational space, and learning; and the related questionnaires were designed, and distributed among 39 managers and experts of the mentioned company. Then, by using the confirmatory factor analysis with the Smart PLS software, the factors and indices were fitted, confirmed, and finally 3 indices removed after fitness. According to the findings, paying attention to the five above mentioned factors is necessary, and neglecting some of them causes lack of success in service innovation management of the company. Also, the ranking results shows now that organizational processes dimension is placed in the first and the learning one in the last rank in the company.

Abstract:

The ability of new product development process is considered as advantageous capabilities for organizations. Information- and knowledge-based businesses, and product development organizations need sufficient information and knowledge to be successful. The present study aimed to investigate the effect of knowledge management capability on the new product development process. The study population is Dadfar Shiraz food industry. In terms of target, this research is applied, and from the point of gathering data, it is correlation and single cross sectional-survey. According to the studies, the conceptual model was mapped and three hypotheses were compiled. To analyze the data and verify the hypotheses, structural equation modeling (SEM) and partial least squares (PLS) were used. The results obtained by analyzing the compiled hypotheses show that the knowledge management capability and new product development have a positive and significant relation. Also, the relationship between knowledge management capability and customer knowledge, and between the latter and new product development are significant.

Abstract:

Innovation is a critical factor for enterprises in order to create value and sustainable competitive advantage in today’s changing and complex environment. An innovative initiative depends largely on the knowledge and skill of the staff. As a result, knowledge is a valuable asset for organizations. But in knowledge sharing process, companies are always faced with the risk of leakage. External knowledge sharing and knowledge leakage are changed into a strategic dilemma while the organizations running innovative activities. In this article, we focus on the positive and negative effects of this phenomenon; to do this, the effect of external knowledge sharing on innovative performance under the likelihood of deliberate or accidental leakage of vital specialized knowledge is empirically studied. For this purpose, the data from 82 companies located in Rasht Industrial City were gathered, and by using structural equation modeling technique and partial least square (PLS) approach were analyzed. The results showed that external knowledge sharing has positive effect on innovative performance, but accidental knowledge leakage has no moderating effect in this respect and the deliberate one has negative effect.

Abstract:

The high speed of technology progress and the importance of obtaining the new ones have made under- and undeveloped countries look for technology transfer from technology-owned countries in order to remove their weaknesses and obtain competitive advantages. In this connection, the approach of the developed countries willing to maintain technology or its transfer to the countries having the same political and economic interests, have caused the technology transfer and its effective methods to become one of the important issues of the present decade. To obtain and transfer various technologies from developed countries to the target ones, different solutions can be considered. Generally, the selection of the most effective way in this respect is made based on different (and sometimes contradictory) criteria as well as a lot of sub ones.In this research, considering the technology levels of wind turbine manufacturing in Iran and also the approach of the other countries with respect to it, the customary methods of technology transfer are determined based on the views of the experts and the companies manufacturing turbine parts. Then, the importance of criteria, sub criteria, and technology transfer options are verified by using the analytic hierarchy process method (AHP); finally the best option for implementing in wind power industry in Iran is selected. The results of this study can be used by the country decision makers in order to design and manufacture the wind turbines. In this research, considering the technology levels of wind turbine manufacturing in Iran and the approach of the other countries with respect to it, the customary methods of technology transfer are determined based on the views of the experts and the companies manufacturing turbine parts. Abstract:

Nowadays, the need for food security is one of the most important global issues. It needs more careful consideration, understanding, and planning in developing countries. Thus, the food security in developing countries such as in Iran requires new strategies and methods in food production and supply. One of the ways to increase production, quality and to reduce waste and losses and perform different operations timely and correctly is the use of new technologies and updated machines. In addition to these, one of the most key and updated domain is mechatronics engineering and intelligent systems. Therefore, taking the advantages of this new opportunity in the field of engineering to pass and change from the usual mechanization (purely mechanical) into biosystems can lead to the improvement of the production systems and accelerating the processes. Before this, an advanced knowledge and critical understanding of the essential requirements such as proper recognition, applications, and challenges, are needed to use and continue the application of emerging technologies or develop the new methods. Thus, this article aims to introduce modern technologies and understanding of these domains, the importance, application and challenges associated with mechatronics engineering in agro-industrial development and other linked areas.
