The research environment plays a major role in students’ satisfaction and productivity. So far, many studies have tried to identify factors that affect student satisfaction and productivity, but they have not addressed the most important environmental factors. In this paper, we explored different environmental factors of computer students at one of the Shiraz University labs. For this purpose, we used mixed methods of multiple stage research design. At first 14 students were interviewed in various computer majors. As a result, the most important environmental factors were the ability to communicate with supervisors and other students, noises, social norms and signals, cleanliness, view, and light. A survey was designed based on interviews and previous work factors with alpha Cronbach 85%. Then, the survey was sent to 175 students and received 73 responses. Survey’ s data analyzed at two levels of descriptive statistics and statistical models. Statistical models were built for satisfaction with the work environment and perceived productivity. In the satisfaction model, a specific place in the lab and the ability to communicate with the supervisor were important factors among others. In productivity models light, communicating with supervisor, overall satisfaction, and social norms were important factors.

Knowledge management today has disrupted many traditional world equations and revolutionized human resource management processes. Along with the introduction of new jobs, knowledge management has also changed the dominance and potential of employability. The link between knowledge management and employment is important because youth employment, especially for the educated, is one of the most important issues and concerns of today’ s societies. Therefore, this study was designed and conducted to analyze the role of personal knowledge management on the employability of graduate students in engineering. This study is an applied in terms of purpose and multivariate correlational designs in terms of data collection and analysis. The statistical population of the study consists of postgraduate students (Masters and PhD) in technical and engineering fields of Bu Ali Sina University. The sample size of the study was calculated using Cochran sampling formula and 281 people were selected by random sampling. Data gathering tools are individual knowledge management questionnaires and employability. The findings showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between personal knowledge management and students’ employability. Structural equation test results using Lisrel software showed that individual knowledge management variables had a significant effect on the variables of employability. The results also showed that there is a significant relationship between knowledge management and employability variables and age, gender and variables.

The present study was conducted with the aim of structural analysis of the relationship between emotions and internet addiction by mediating loneliness in students. The study method was correlation and statistical population was all students of Zabol University Faculty of Engineering in the academic year of 2019-2020 (about 1300 people). A total of 297 people selected by use the suitable sample size for structural research and stratified random sampling methods. They were completed the Young Internet Addiction (IAT), Single Emotion (SLFS) and Positive Negative Emotion (PANAS) questionnaire’ s. The data were analyzed using SPSS and Lisrel software, as well as descriptive statistics and path analysis indicators. The results of Pearson correlation coefficient showed that there is a significant relationship between all research variables (p < 0. 001). In addition, the overall indicators of the proposed correction model indicated good pattern fit (CFI= 1. 00, AGFI= 0. 97, GFI= 1. 00, RSMEA= 0. 03, χ 2 / df= 1. 38). According to the findings of the structural analysis of the research, it is necessary to teach engineering students the proper use of the internet, as well as how to cope with feelings of loneliness and enjoy positive emotions.

Higher education in Iran has excessively increased in the past years resulting in high numbers of unemployed engineers. However, railway engineering major that has been established by the direct support of the railway industry and due to its needs, had a positive impact on strengthening the workforce. In this research, the experience of this school is reviewed. Afterwards by using data envelopment analysis, the efficiency of 19 regions of Iranian railways are analyzed based on their human resources. The results of the model show that the least excess of employees belongs to the graduate degree and higher with just 2 percent, underlying the fact the correct policy have been adopted so far. Efficient regions are Fars, Jonoob Shargh, Shomal Gharb, Tehran and Lorestan. Maximum excess employees were seen at Shargh region with 30 and 21 persons for graduate and higher and associate degree, while the highest rate of excess employees with diploma or lower degree belonge to Hormozgan region. In total, 14 percent of railway employees with diploma degree or lower are redundant that must be taken into consideration for future employments so that the least new employments be done in this category.

Evaluating the proficiency of universities, examining the causes of their efficiency and inefficiency are very important for revising inefficient units. In this research, for efficiency evaluation of the faculties of Persian Gulf University, data envelopment analysis approach and the ideal planning model are used. This method is one of the non-parametric techniques of operations research with a comprehensive and integrated view, which taking into account all the factors affecting the performance of units, it is possible to identify inefficient units. In general, it is difficult to evaluate universities and identify inefficient units due to the complexity and breadth of inputs and outputs using classical methods. Here, a case study has been conducted to evaluate the relative efficiency of the faculties of engineering, humanities, management and economics in the 99-98 academic year of Bushehr Persian Gulf University. First, by examining the background of similar research, inputs and outputs related to the performance of the faculties were identified. Then, by collecting the relevant data from the database of Persian Gulf University, field of mathematical modeling based on the data envelopment analysis approach was prepared with help of Lingo. The results indicate different levels of efficiency and superiority of the Faculty of Economics.

The history of engineering activities includes many examples of development that has led to environmental degradation. Hence, environmental ethics has a special place in engineering education. The present paper is in the field of engineering ethics, which focuses specifically on the teaching of environmental ethics. Also, the lack of a training course related to environmental ethics is in fact a missing link in the training of engineering experts, which needs special attention to solve future problems. In this regard, officials should think about creating a paradigm shift in the field of education in engineering, because it is related to the interaction between engineers and the environment. Engineers, compared to other single professions, are responsible for majority of the artifacts of the current world which we live in. The impact of an engineer’ s work on this constructed world has both benefits and risks, ranging from safety and health issues to environmental degradations. Consequently, education of environmental ethics should be considered as an essential skill for all engineering programs. For this purpose, this article proposes a syllabus for an environmental ethics course.
