Background and objective: In the education of medical students, medical equipment has a major role and due to the lack of resources, medical equipment should be purchased to the needs of users and according to the economic and managerial components. This study was conducted to compare the purchase of Medical Equipment in Selected countries, then with using its results, effective dimensions and components in purchase management of Medical Equipment are extracted. Materials and method: This study was a comparative descriptive applied study. So, four stages were presented: description, interpretation, juxtaposition, and comparison. This study has compared USA, Canada, Australia, German, China, India and Turkey for purchase management of Medical Equipment. Ten clinical experts who participated to determine effective dimensions and components. Results: In examining the Selected countries in the field of purchase of Medical Equipment, the results indicate that these countries are based on the context, technology, price, after sales service, Negotiation, Observance of rules and standards are some components that were compatible. Conclusion: Considering to lack of resources and infinite needs of people, using scientific purchase management of medical equipment is a mandatory approach in health system. In this regard, effective dimensions in purchase management of medical equipment have been extracted. The results of this study will be used to design purchase management of medical equipment model.
