The purpose of this study was to identify the key factors in the lifestyle of rural families and determine their contribution to the explanation of lifestyle changes. The research method was survey and the statistical population of the study was the guardians of rural households in Bostanabad city (18956 individuals) in 1395 that 376 of them were selected as the sample based on Cochran formula and multistage cluster sampling method. Descriptive statistics were used along with factor analysis and a questionnaire was data gathering tool. The validity and reliability of the information gathering tool was measured through face validity and Cronbach alpha respectively. Based on the findings of the research, in the economic dimension, production-oriented, saving-oriented and consumer-oriented lifestyles can be mentioned, in the social dimension, participatory factors, collectivism and friendliness and, in the dimension of values Marital and guy-oriented factors are considered. Also, in the identity dimension, the originals, self-beliefs, and Task oriented were extracted. Finally, modernist and traditionalist factors in the systematic aspect of family and religious orientation in the field of religion of the family achieved. The results of the research showed that, among the dimensions of life style, economics with three main factors, namely production, saving and consumption and the highest amount of specialty, can explain nearly 60% of life style changes of rural families. By summing up the extractives, it can be concluded that a combined lifestyle (a combination of modernist and traditionalist) prevails in rural households.
