Abstract:

Introduction & Objective: Nowadays wound and its repair is important in its importance. Wound healing is a complex process that requires interaction between different types of cells, building proteins, growth factors and proteinases. Mast cell, fibroblasts and macrophages play an important role in wound healing. Recently, the use of electrospining as a nanofiltration technology that can provide the same conditions as extracellular matrix can be used. Regarding the anti-bacterial properties of curcumin antioxidants for wound healing and the properties of polycaprolactone nano-fiber scaffolding by electrostatic method, the present study aimed to investigate the effect of this dressing on wounds in rat animal model. Materials & Methods: In this study, 48 male Sprague-Dawley rats weighing 300-350 g were used. The rats were randomly divided into 4 groups. After anesthesia, in the sterile condition, 1. 5 to 1. 5 cm in the back of the rat was formed. Then the dressing was done as Tie over in the first group PCL + curcumin 5%, the second group was PCL + curcumin 16%, in the third group pure PCL without curcumin and in the fourth group (control) with sterile gas dressing for up to 20 days. Dressing was changed every 5 days, and photos were photographed on 5, 10, 15, and the results of the photos were analyzed by image j software. On the 20th day, the samples were evaluated for histopathology. Results: The results of the difference in the mean of the wound surface between the four groups were significant only on the twentieth day (P = 0. 023). The results of the analysis between groups (two to two) showed that the difference in the trend between the first group to the second group (P = 0. 048), between the first and fourth groups (P = 0. 015) and between the second and fourth groups (P = 0. 029) and also between the third and fourth groups (P = 0. 031). There was no statistically significant difference in the overall score of pathology and pathological variables among the groups. Conclusions: The results show that loaded Curcumin electrospining PCL scaffolds have good biocompatibility and have not shown any complications. This scaffold facilitates wound healing.

Introduction & Objective: Esophageal atresia is a type of congenital anomaly in the gastrointestinal tract in which the esophagus does not develop during the fetal period and the esophageal to the gastric junction is blocked in the middle of the way and is placed like a balloon hanging behind the trachea and contains various types of anatomical defects. Congenital is rooted in fetal underdevelopment in the esophagus. Esophageal atresia is a congenital disease that is treated by surgery. Early complications may occur during the first days after surgery. Materials & Methods: From 2003 to 2017, 70 patients with esophageal atresia underwent surgery at Bahrami Children's Hospital. Early complications escaped after surgery at the NICU and in the ward under evaluation. The mean age at surgery was 3. 55 ±,2. 4 days. The mean hospital stay was 12/5±, 3/4 and short-term complications were observed in 10 cases (14. 2%). Results: Based on the results, 10 patients (14. 2%) were observed in a total of 13 complications. The most common short-term complications in these patients were respiratory failure (5 cases), aspiration pneumonia (4 cases) and anastomotic leakage (4 cases). Another complication of the study was mediastinitis, which was not reported in any of the patients. Conclusions: In the present study, which introduces the tubeless method, access to the operation site is extrapleural. The azygous vein is preserved and at the end of the operation chest tube and NGT are not used. Therefore, early postoperative complication and morbility are less and this method can be used. Suggested in the repair of esophageal atresia type c.

Abstract:

Introduction & Objective: Identifying effective social science networks in different scientific fields helps researchers to identify influential individuals and universities in each field and realize the importance of knowledge sharing through these new information tools. Accordingly, the present study was conducted with the aim of identifying the relationship between metamorphic scores of social networks and scientometric indicators obtained from the activities of Iranian nursing researchers in citation databases. Materials & Methods: The present study is an applied and descriptive research that has been done by the scientometric method with Altmetrics approach. The statistical sample for the study includes Iranian researchers in the field of nursing who had an indexed document in the Scopus citation database, in the period 2000-2019 and on the date of the research (20/03/2020), and was also a member of the Mendeley resource management database. There were 158 high-profile authors introduced by Scopus. Results: Findings showed that from 2000 to 2019, 5821 records related to the field of nursing, indexed by Iranian researchers written in the Scopus database, 5009 records (86%) were articles. Linguistically, 5627 records (96. 6%) were in English and only 198 cases (3. 4%) were written in Persian. Tehran University of Medical Sciences and Health Services is the top university in the field of activity or sponsor of nursing researchers. A significant coefficient of 0. 40 was obtained between the H-index index in Scopus database and the follower’, s index in Mendeleev, which shows that there is no significant relationship in this field. However, there is a significant relationship between the other indicators studied in these two databases. There is also a significant relationship between co-authorship index, H-index, citation received, readers, publications and viewers in Mendelian scientific social network with indexes of citation number and H-index in Web of Science citation database. But there is no significant relationship between the followers index and the mentioned indices due to the occurrence of a significance coefficient of 0. 202. Examining the relationship between the amounts of citations received in Mendeley, Scopus, and Web-Science databases shows that there is a significant relationship between the amount of citations received in these databases. Conclusions: Respectively, the strongest correlation, in this case, is between the citation index received in the Mendeley and Web of Science database, Mendeley and Scopus, and finally Scopus and Web of science. There is also a significant relationship between the etch index in the Mendeley, Scopus, and Web of Science databases. The correlation between the Mendeley h-index and Web of Science is stronger than the correlation between the Mendeley h-index and Scopus.

Introduction & Objective: Nowadays, culturing cells on a three-dimensional scaffold in vitro in cartilage tissue engineering is of interest to researchers. Because in biological scaffolds derived from degenerated tissues and organs, cellular antigens are removed and many structural and functional proteins of the extracellular matrix are preserved, these scaffolds have been successful in tissue engineering. Materials & Methods: The aim of the present study was to prepare biological scaffolds derived from cartilage detoxified tissue using different concentrations of Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate (SDS) as a chemical ionic detergent and Triton X-100 as a non-ionic detergent. In this regard, scanning electron microscopy was used to evaluate the effect of preparation processes on collagen structure and porosity of samples and hematoxylin-eosin staining was used to evaluate the success of tissue decellularization and cell nucleus observation. The toxicity of scaffold and cell adhesion on it was also investigated. Results: Due to the specific staining of the trichrome, the observed blue color confirmed the retention of collagen in the decellularized scaffold. The cultured fibroblasts were amplified on a decellularized sample with Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate (2%) and Triton X-100 (4%) solutions showed good adhesion. Conclusions: The results of this study indicate that scaffolds prepared by chemical detoxification of natural cartilage tissue can be a good candidate for use in cartilage tissue engineering.

Abstract:

Acute surgical abdomen during pregnancy and postpartum period is always an important challenge in diagnosis or management. Although it is better addressed during pregnancy, there is any exact data on prevalence and specific diagnostic and therapeutic approaches of these pathologies during postpartum period. On the other hand, due to the increased probability of developing thromboembolic events in postpartum, any surgical intervention can intensify this risk and must be considered. In this article it Has been introduced a 27-year-old girl who underwent surgery due to perforated cecal diverticulitis but few days after discharging, she was admitted again for pulmonary embolism.
