It is said that trust and common values are interrelated, and that play role in social trust and social cohesion. In this article we wish to find out if religiosity, social acceptability and observance of morality as common values in the society, determine the social trust. The study is descriptive and causative and the method is survey. The population that sample of study is taken from consists of the students, teacher and other employees of the Azad University in Tehran. The sample is drawn through allocation random sampling. A questionnaire is used to collect data from 1212 individuals in 2010. The findings indicate that 32% of the respondents have high social trust. Though only 14% had high morality and observed ethical values, yet 84% had a high level social acceptance. The citizens’ religiosity was 74% which is high too. The findings indicate that social trust has significant strong and direct relationship with three variables: religiosity has the highest impact, and the other influencing factors are respectively, social acceptance and observance of morality.Religiosity influences social trust besides other influences

Iranian society is classified as developing, periphery, dependent and the like. All of these concepts indicate a different look at the Iranian society from a special theoretical point of view. They have taken into account the relationship with the west and modernity, and based on this view they have come up with the characteristics like dependability in the non-western world. The influence of the west on Iranian society has been an important factor in shaping the modern Iran. Therefore, understanding this relationship helps for understanding of Iranian society. Conceptualization of facing the west with different methods is necessary for understanding societies like Iran. The present article emphasizes the necessity for emergence of novel concepts and discovery of their varied consequences on the Iranian society. This article considers the hybrid reality of Iranian society in the process of globalization.

In the recent decades the family pattern in the world has gone through many changes. At the present the values and attitudes of the youth have undergone many changes also. The researches show that having sexual relationship before marriage is becoming common more than any other time. One of these premarital relationships is cohabitation which is growing in big cities like Tehran. This pattern indicates living together of couples without being married. The goal of this study is to know what the subjects interpret their behavior and what appropriate social situations helped to this phenomenon to emerge. In this research 21 men and women of that experienced cohabitation were interviewed. The findings show that this pattern of relationship is the product of modernization process and the diffusion of certain values to Iran; the process which started by coming of technological products and changes that took place in economic situation and then gradually encompassed the entire fabrics of the society. Cohabitation is part of this grand socio-economical and cultural change in recent years

Projection and rationalization are among the major problems that people encounter often in daily relationships as common defense mechanisms. The extent of which this problem exists is an indication of certain unpleasant mentality. It is due to undesirable behaviors like denying responsibility, escaping reality, deception and immaculate presentation of oneself; the characteristics which usually take place unconsciously. Since the folklore is the presentation of traditions and social behavior and cultural values, therefore, in this article the attempt is made to trace the indications and instances of these concepts in Iranian folklore and in its subaltern cultures. The instances were found in the folk stories, proverbs and wise sayings. For this purpose first these psychological concepts were defined and explained, and then the instances extracted from the sources were presented. It is necessary to remember that at times certain instances carry both meanings of the projection and rationalization in them simultaneously.

The present article is trying to show that how to recognize the indicators of power relationships within the families. Through qualitative research method it is shown how concepts and categories are constructed by using indicators collected through observation and deep interviews with spouses. Since the indicators can be very many and extremely varied, and much verbal and nonverbal behavior can be the indicators of power relationship between spouses, so all information collected are recorded and treated as raw data. After them (indicators) being classified and organized, the following 7 categories and the concepts stemming from them, seemed necessary for studying the power relationship in the families.
