Nowadays, urban planners keep recognizing the textures that have renewal and modernization priority in social and physical aspects. This research is trying to recognize and prioritize the economical, social, physical and demographic indexes in areas consisting of 12 districts of distressed areas of Jiroft with 204 hectares of approved texture. The method of this study is cross-sectional based on library, field and questionnaire survey. Both software of multi-criteria evaluation model of AHP and GIS have been used to analyze data. The results of the prioritization of indexes drived from Expert Choice software show that physical index with a score of 0.502 is the first one in the area of texture intervention. Social, economical and demographic indexes with the scores of0.252, 0.143 and 0.102 are the next ones. Then, coefficient of the indexes of obtained ranking determined that areas of 6, 9 and 10 have the worst conditions of renewal and modernization and areas of 1, 3 and 4 are in relatively better conditions in distressed areas of Jiroft.

Nowdays, one of the basic elements of urban planning is paying attention to conscious and active participation of citizens in all aspects of development. Therefore, changes for the use of participatory approaches and citizens’ satisfaction are undeniable necessities for urban management. This research is an applied one and its method is cross-sectional. Accordingly, after a review of concepts and principles related to the subject, field study method was used to collect data. The main aim of this study is the citizens’ satisfaction with participation in urban management of Mahabad. Analysis of the 384 questionnaires distributed among citizens who were associated with the municipalities and their performance shows high citizens’ tendency of participation in municipal management. Although studies show that most of people’s participations were physical, the results of the Spearman correlation test indicates there is a statistically meaningful and direct correlation between the level of citizens’ participation in urban management and their satisfaction. The results of this study show that the factors affecting on the level of citizen participation in urban management can be divided into four individual, social, economical and administrative aspects. The most influential indexes in the individual aspect is citizens’ physical and mental health and in other aspects will be a place dependency in social aspect, participation profitability in economical aspect and trust in the administrative one.

Nowadays, following stereotypical models, urbanization (mostly of modernized one) which ignores local conditions and specifications, not only creates unsustainable conditions in the cities but also results in unsustainability of surrounding areas. Hence, in metropoliss such as Tabriz, the occupied urban area outruns population growth and such phenomenon has increased environmental, infrastructural, and economic and in short sustainability challenges of cities, confronting urban management with wide variety of problems. The aim of this study is to investigate and analyze facilities and limitations of sustainable development in Tabriz metropolis using selected indexes. Data collection tools of present study were information obtained from analytical plans produced inGIS and urban development designs of Tabriz city. Research method is descriptive- analytical where quantitative methods and models such as SWOT and AHP were used. Results obtained from present study indicated that capacities and potentials of sustainable development are wide in the city and the way of strengthening strong points and booming sustainable development opportunities will be paved through strategic and prospective planning and eliminating weaknesses and overcoming threats.

Many scholars basically believe that the importance of urban area is based on the relationship with the social strategies, social structure refining, human-emotionalquality in society, people’s active life, political activities and safe and healthy urban living. In this research, relationship of education, sex and different age ranges of Gorgan’s citizens with effective factors on residents’ satisfaction of Azar5 street of Gorgan has been studied using SPSS software. The results show that there is a meaningful relationship among age ranges, canals, streams and control of flowing water, traffic and transportation, bus station and playground for both children and adults. This meaningfulness will be brighter among under-18-year old people. The results showed that there is a meaningful relationship just between the education level and the type of pavement flooring and also among various sexes and canals, streams, and control of flowing water. Friedman test was used in order to determine the most and the least important effective factors on citizens’ satisfaction. This research was led to the recognition of the citizens’ needs by age, sex and education level and helped programmers and designers to do their bests to increase the citizens’ satisfaction.

The main factor determining the success of urban management today is recognized cities and aimed at policy and implementation plans. Cities are as a complex social system and the need for urban management to achieve the goals of sustainable urban development activities in different dimensions. In this paper, we examine how knowledge, evolution and expression levels of urban management in the different periods of the current situation, strengths and weaknesses (advantages and disadvantages) have been analyzed. Using descriptive and (library studies), analysis of secondary data (documents) and the techniques of content analysis and comparative study between traditional and new approaches to urban management of the Median era (780 BC) to the Republic Islamic of Iran Period (until 2012) will be discussed. The results show the influence of Iran in the planning and management of urban management center (centralized organization). In the current era of urban management at the macro level, local and regional, local and urban management levels with parallel changes in the decision making and planning.Therefore, the development of municipal functions and powers of the management with decentralization and urban development is essential.

Increasing development of urban areas and their uncontrolled population growth have been caused to generate a variety of municipal wastes in cities. Nowadays, finding a suitable landfill for garbage disposal has always been one of the complex, costly and time consuming issues because of many different factors and variables. This research aimed to determine the appropriate location for city landfill sites by using the capabilities of GIS and analytic hierarchy process (AHP). In this research, various factors including distance from stream, distance from fault, percentage of slope, type of land use and distance from main road, which are useful in finding a location for landfills, have been considered in the neighborhood of Mahallat. Then, due to paired comparison of criteria and related parameters, knowledge of 100 experts in various fields, such as environmental organizations, government, natural resources and Mahallat municipality, are used in the form of a questionnaire and modeling has been done as an Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) after computing and applying final weights on each of the layers in GIS environment. Finally, appropriate zones of urban landfills of Mahallat have been identified based on availability locations within 5 categories from very appropriate to very poor and adapted with field observations. Eventually, the southeast of Mahallat was considered as the most appropriate area for landfill.

Today, sustainable tourism industry plays so important role in economic and social development of countries that economists consider it as an engine of development in coastal areas. Developing of this industry in the world needs management system efficiency, strengthening infrastructures and improving the necessary capacity. Noshahr city due to its particular geographical conditions, beautiful beaches and the port and airport has a great, potential to attract of foreign and domestic tourists. Increasing of tourism in this region, with inadequate planning and weaknesses of infrastructures and tourism management has negative environmental, social and economic effects. Therefore, this study is trying to recognize the role of management in tourism development of Noshahr and providing appropriate solutions for sustainable development of tourism in the city. This is a field research based on a cross-sectional method. The statistical community is the residents of Noshahr with 42, 175 people. Of these, 350 people has been selected according to Morgan. In this study, the statistical test the Spearman correlation coefficient is used in spss software. The results indicate a meaningful and positive correlation among the characteristics of city managers, changes of tourism facility growth and sustainable development of tourism. They also show lack of a meaningful relationship between changes of coastallands’ usages and sustainable development of tourism. In addition, these findings indicate a positive and meaningful correlation among the variables coastal planning, coordination of tourism-related organizations, employment opportunities, development of retail services and necessary infrastructures, building campaigns, organizing rental houses, notification, seasonal inspections and continuous monitoring of the sustainable development of urban tourism.
