2A review on the evolution of educational systems shows that despite the progress made in various fields of knowledge, the structure, educational methods, place of education, concepts, teacher, and learner have changed little (1). While "Generational differences" have strongly reflected in educational experiences and expectations (2) and caused teaching strategies and methods that were effective for the past generations to be ineffective for the future generation (3). Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to generational differences, recognize the new wave of learners, continuously review teaching-learning strategies and design future teaching strategies (4). The generation gap is considered to be the difference in thinking frameworks, beliefs and values between generations (5) and generations are defined as a group of people who reach a certain age almost at the same time and are influenced by important events that happen during their life, such as economic changes, war, political changes, different ideologies, technological innovations and social changes. These important events serve to define the values, attitudes and social preferences of these groups (6). Among the generations, those born in the 2000s and later, the generation that is still studying is called Generation Z. These students were born in an era where technological progress has been very fast and the developed technology has had a tremendous impact on them. (7). this new generation of students have different expectations from life. They have distinct social characteristics and different ways of thinking and learning. They prefer to acquire information quickly by using communication technologies, multitasking and not interested in traditional lectures consisting of passive listening and note-taking. Instead, they prefer the active learning process and demand change in educational models that rely on a teacher-centered approach instead of a student-centered approach (8). Therefore, university administrators should pay attention to active, cooperative, social and student-centered classroom activities, otherwise, students get easily bored and distracted from the learning process. It should be noted that these students are involved with digital devices, technology and communication ways. They are quite cautious and may not be used to dealing with conflicts like other generations. Therefore, special training programs should be organized to develop team working, negotiation and conflict resolution skills (7). Currently, medical schools should prepare their curriculum to promote a technology-enriched environment and learner-centered approaches using blended learning, case studies, and group exercises to respond to a new generation of medical students (9). A greater understanding of active learning styles such as the use of feedback and technology-based learning by millennials may enable us to increase the effectiveness of ongoing curriculum and faculty development strategies in medical education (10). Considering that Z generation students gathered in the same universities with professors belonging to Y generation which prepare them for the future, and most of the problems that exist in these educational environments are caused by the generation gap. Therefore, in order to advance an educational process, university administrators should examine the strengths and weaknesses of the generations and take possible measures. 2Background & Aim: Dental anxiety is an obstacle to seeking dental care and is associated with poor oral and dental health outcomes. The present study aimed to determine the relationship between dental anxiety and socio-demographic factors of mothers with decay-missing-filled (DMF) index of children under 6 years old. Methods:  This descriptive-analytic study included 173 pairs of childeren under 6 years old and their mothers, who were included in the study among the clients of the yazd Dental Faculty. Dental anxiety level were determined using the standard dental anxiety questionnaire (MDAS). Information on sociodemographic details and the mothers education level was recorded. caries prevalence of individuals was determined by decayed, missing, and filled teeth (DMFT) index. Intraoral examinations were done by the last-year educated dental student under the supervision of a pediatrician. Statistical analyses were performed using the one-way ANOVA, and pearson correlation analysis. Results: The average age of the children was 4.7±0.64 years, and 54.9% of them being boys. The majority of mothers (40.5%) had a university education. There was no statistically significant difference in the average maternal dental anxiety scores across different levels of dental caries in children. There was a weak positive correlation between the child's age, dmft index, and maternal dental anxiety (r=0.208, P=0.003). Conclusion: Although no statistically significant relationship was found between maternal dental anxiety and children's deciduous teeth, considering the importance of maternal dental anxiety in the implementation of preventive oral health protocols, along with the characteristics of the child and family, maternal dental anxiety should be considered. This issue increases with the age of the children because older children had a higher dmft index.

2Background & Aim: Endotracheal tube care is one of the main principles of care in critical care units, which requires annual evaluation. The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the training effect of endotracheal tube care standards on the care performance of nurses in critical care units. Methods: This semi-experimental study with before and after design was conducted in Shahid-Beheshti teaching hospital of Kashan in 2022-2023. The research units included 101 nurses working in the intensive care units of the hospital, who were included in the study by census. Tracheal tube care behaviors were observed in two stages (before and after training). A checklist of tracheal tube care behavior was used. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and dependent t-tests, chi-square in SPSS software version 21. Results: In this study, 101 nurses (84.7%) with a mean age of 36 years and 8 years of work experience were examined. The results showed a significant difference between the mean cuff pressure before (34.38mmHg) and after training (33.08mmHg; p=0.049). Further results indicated differences in the frequency of care behaviors such as the depth of insertion and fixation of the endotracheal tube, use of gas, checking the cuff of the endotracheal tube during the shift and before suction, observing the proper position, performing physical therapy, catheter sterility, duration of suction, and the number of suction times before and after training (P<0.05). Conclusion: The tracheal tube care standards training program has a positive effect on care performance of nurses. Therefore, it seems necessary to plan and implement annual continuing education programs regarding updating and improving the care performance of nurses in critical care units.

2Background & Aim: The prevalence of parasitic protozoan raises severe concerns for food safety and public health, thereby underscoring the crucial importance of understanding its extent. This study investigates Sarcocystis contamination in sheep, goat, and cow carcasses from a slaughterhouse in Esfarayen, northeastern of Iran. Methods: In this descriptive study, 205 corpses were examined over a year. Sarcocystis bradyzoites were isolated by digestion method. This process involved crushing meat samples obtained from slaughtered animals, digesting them with a 50 ml digestive solution, and incubating them at a precise 40°C for one hour. The filtered solution was centrifuged, and the sediment was stained with Giemsa. Additionally, tissue samples were meticulously viewed for pathological examination and stained with hematoxylin and eosin histopathological sections. Results: This study showed that out of 205 samples, 136 (66%) were infected by Sarcocystis. The infection was mostly seen in sheep (63.6%). Based on Fischer's accurate test, there was no statistically significant relationship between animal sex and infection rate (p> 0.05). Also, there was a relationship between the goats' weight criteria and the contamination rate (p<0.05). Conclusion: The results indicate that Esfarayen has a higher Sarcocystis infection rate in traditionally bred slaughtered livestock compared to the rest of the country. There was also a relationship between the research goats' body weight and the degree of contamination.

2Background & Aim: One of the most stressful and anxiety-provoking cases for the patient and his family was hospitalization with a possible or definite diagnosis of Covid-19. This research was conducted with the aim of determining the effect of telenursing on the level of depression, anxiety and stress of patients’s family hospitalized due to covid-19 in Allameh Bahloul Gonabadi Hospital in 2020. Methods: This study is a semi-experimental research with before and after design. The research population was hospitalized patients with a definite diagnosis of covid-19 and their families. The sampling method was purposeful and accessible. The research sample included 42 patients' family members, including 22 in the intervention group and 20 in the control group. The depression anxiety and stress scale 21 (DASS-21) questionnaire was completed by a member of the patient's family with COVID-19‎. In the intervention group before and at the end of the three days of the intervention. Three telephone training sessions were conducted by the nurse over the phone with the family member about the patient's condition and ensuring the necessary interventions for their patient. In the control group, routine ward and hospital interventions were performed. Data was analyzed using SPSS version 20 software and descriptive and inferential statistical methods including chi-square, independent t and paired t tests. P value less than 0.05 was considered significant.‎ Results: The mean age of the research units was 39.21±11.44 years. Most of them were married (92.85%) and had university education (43.18%). In the intervention group, three days after the implementation of the telenursing program, the scores of anxiety, stress and depression in the patients' families decreased significantly compared to before the intervention (P=0.013), but in the control group, the difference No significance was observed in terms of anxiety, stress and depression scores before and after the intervention (P>0.05).  Conclusion: Considering the quarantine conditions and the impossibility of face-to-face visits for patients with covid-19, as well as the positive effects of telenursing, nurses can use this method in the field of caring for patients and providing necessary training to their families and reducing stress and anxiety of other family members through telenursing.
