Abstract:

Background and Aim: Implementing holistic health, the development of spirituality, and Islamic morality in society requires theory-based spiritual health services. The health system needs to provide spiritual health care in the spectrum of health and disease, at all levels of prevention and throughout life. This study aimed to explain the pathology of Iranian spiritual health services to design targeted measures to shape a desirable future. Methods: This Islamic futurology was conducted in 18 months based on the Manteghi et al. model in three stages: 1) Analytical phase:non-systematic review of evidence with PRISMA protocol by searching for religious and scientific evidences during the last three decades in scientific databases and analysis of 32 articles based on Walker and Avant conceptual analysis model; 2) Interpretive stage: based on the personality theory and pathology theory of the Sound Heart model; 3) Intuitive phase: by content analysis of data obtained from interviews with 25 national experts. To check the strength, accuracy, completeness, and possibility of logical understanding of the findings, in addition to Morse et al.'s suggestions, two specialized panels were conducted in the Spiritual Health Department of the Academy of Medical Sciences. Results: The challenges were listed in three sections: 1) Research field: lack of jurisprudential supervision of research, lack of use of religious evidence by academics, preparation of religiosity assessment questionnaires, lack of theorizing; 2) Educational field: lack of spiritual health education in the university, lack of training of spiritual mentor professors, lack of spiritual health textbooks; 3) Clinical services field: lack of standards for spiritual health services, lack of assessment of competence of spiritual caregivers, neglect of spiritual needs of people, neglect of spiritual self-care, lack of implementation of theory-based spiritual care. Conclusion: To design the ideal future of spiritual health, it is recommended to prepare clinical standards, -to train mentor professors, to implement competency-based longitudinal training, and provide theory-based spiritual health services by a qualified and licensed treatment team.

Abstract:

Background and Aim: Islamic spiritual health is a state in which a person leads to divine, excellence, in the shadow of insight and reasoning, revelation and mission, by making proper optional behaviors in personal and social fields. The spiritual health of couples, founders of societies, affects their efficiency. Therefore, in this descriptive-library study, the antecedents of the spiritual health of Muslim couples are investigated. Methods: To collect data, Google Scholar, Normags, Magiran, and SID databases were searched with the keywords of "spiritual health", "spirituality", "couples", and "spouses", and their English equivalents in 1980-2020. After reviewing 36 documents, the antecedents of the spiritual health of couples in Islamic texts were extracted by the conventional content analysis method. Results: The resulting 139 codes were classified into six subcategories (affecting family management, sexual, spiritual, behavioral, emotional, and cognitive relationships). In this article, the data related to the antecedents of spiritual health affecting the two subclasses of "emotional relations" and "cognitive" of couples were presented. The first subcategory includes seven items expressing love, forgiveness and apology, respect and appreciation, honesty, happiness, peace and relief, and observing the limits of emotional belonging. The second subcategory includes five items conflict resolution, mutual understanding and rapport, optimism and trust, contentment and expectation adjustment, fairness and justice. Conclusion: Improving interpersonal communication skills and attitudinal-emotional characteristics by creating an emotional relationship; spending enough time to choose a partner and getting to know him/her, being frank in expressing expectations, and developing personality traits by creating a cognitive relationship has a positive effect on couples’ spiritual health.

Abstract:

Background and Aim: Nurses, a major part of the health system, have been affected by the corona crisis more than other people working in the health system. To prepare to deal with crises and improve the state of the health system, nurses must have a level of physical and mental health and proper job self-efficacy. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the lifestyle that promotes health and spiritual well-being with the job self-efficacy of nurses in Corona wards. Methods: The current research method was a correlational description. The statistical population was all the nurses working in the corona wards of Baqiyatallah Hospital in 2021. The statistical sample consisted of 82 nurses of wards admitting COVID-19 patients, who were selected by the available sampling method. The data were collected using three health-enhancing lifestyle questionnaires by Walker (1987), the spiritual well-being questionnaire by Dehshiri et al. (2013), and the standard Job self-efficacy questionnaire by Bandura (1977) and using descriptive and inferential statistical methods (correlation and regression) was analyzed. Results: The findings of the research showed that there is a relationship between the health-promoting lifestyle variables and spiritual well-being with the Job self-efficacy of nurses in Corona wards. Overall, the components of the health-promoting lifestyle and spiritual well-being explain 43.5% of nurses' Job self-efficacy. Spiritual growth component (β=0.544) and self-relation component (β=0.545) have a significant relationship with nurses' Job self-efficacy. Conclusion: The results of the research show that the nurses' Job self-efficacy can be predicted based on the lifestyle that promotes their health and well-being. Therefore, it is necessary to consider appropriate educational programs to improve the lifestyle and spiritual well-being of nurses.
