The objective of this research is to estimate the demand for housingin the city of Qom. We apply the Hedonic price pattern methodology and study household’s preference for various features of residential units. Based on our approach, the value of a residential unit is influenced by its own specific as well as environmental characteristics.The data is provided bythe Qom municipality and Statistic Center for the year 2011. Based on the information from 497 households, the results of our study indicate that the specific features of a residential unit, such as the size of land, number of rooms and the quality of material used, are the most determinants of its price. Furthermore, the location and neighborhood features such as the width of the alley in which the house is located, distance from the nearest school, park, and mosque are also significant.

This research examines the relationship between environmental pollution and economic growth of selected countries. We used panel data and employed the environmental hypothesis of Kuznets, for 22 countries for the period 2005-1997. In this study, the level of water contamination is used as an index for pollution and GDP per capita for economic growth. The adjusted human development index that includes many social variables such as health, political rights, civil liberties, adult literacy are also considered. Other variables include theindustrial value-added share of GDP, population density and the degree of economic openness.The results show that: There exist an inverted U relationship between pollution and economic growth, which confirms the Environmental hypothesis of Kuznets. Environmental pollution has a negative relationship with the human development index and the degree of economic openness. Environmental pollution has a positive relationship with industrial value-added.

Long term monopoly in the telecommunications sector can make to the welfare costs. In this paper using 30 provincial telecommunication company that supply fixed telephony in Iran during period 2004-2008 we estimate welfare loses. Study concludes that estimated welfare loses (45 to 63 percent of sale value) comparing other research is so high and continuing to raise in study period and therefore proposes regulation for this sector.

This paper is to examine the effects of manager-specific characteristics on the efficiency of the commercial banks in Iranian banking system. To this aim, a one-stage stochastic frontier panel data model has been applied for a unique data set constructed based on the important characteristics related to the managers of the branches such as age, gender, education, experience, tenure in managerial position in the bank as well as managers mobility in a sampled branches of the EN Bank in Tehran over 1385-1387. The results show that the increase of managers’ age (till a specific period) as well as the duration of their activity in the bank can lead to greater efficiency of the branches. Moreover, managers’ education level and their academic education level as well as their movement within the branches have the indirect effects on the efficiency of the branches.

Investment is one of the effective factors on economic growth and development. So, paying attention to growth and development of private investment is very important. Corporate tax, in addition to being a sourse of income for the government, has an impact on private investment. In this study the effect of corporate tax on private investment has been investigated. The data were collected through library and they were based on time series data taken from central bank and the Organization of the Tax Affairs.Through a neoclassical investment model, the effect of explanatory variables on governmental section, corporate tax, inflation, interest rate and two dummy variables, using the econometrics method GMM and software Eviews for the economy of Iran were estimated. The investment in governmental section, corporate tax, inflation and interest rate had a negative relationship with private investment, but facilities, adjustment policies and Currency Reserve Fund had positive effects on private investment. Regarding the reversed relationship between investment and corporate tax,applying different tax exemptions in corporate tax discussion, setting the rate of depreciation more than the real economics depreciation rate, speeding up the acceptable depreciation using the rate of decreasing tax on companies, after several progressive rates and on the whole reassessment of that descreased interest rate can be effective in encouraging investment.

As we know two provinces, Lorestan and Ilam, are as derived provinces in Iran despite their natural resources. on the other hand, today is the world of information technology and communication. according to these conditions, the question is, what is the effect of new economical achievements on the employment of these two provinces? this essay has attempted to answer this question. therefore, the purpose of the essay is identifying, considering, comparing and estimating information technology effect on the employment in the industry of Lorestan and Ilam between 1385 and 1386(It is necessary to mention that one of the basic problem in this study I the lack of statistics and information, along with statistics dispersion. Thus, whit great effort only the information of these two years has been collected).this study has been done in a descriptive, analytic and deductive manner. Using econometrics model and panel data has analyzed and compared information technology effect or communication on the employment and demand labor in Lorestan and Ilam. the result shows that information technology has little effect on the job creation in these two provinces, especially Ilam. The important reason is due the labors knowledge in the industry of these provinces and the lack of necessary infrastructure. generally all the given hypotheses in the study are not accepted. Therefore, information technology and communication don’t have similar effect on the job creation in these two provinces, Thus according to the great effects of knowledge of economics in economics, there is a need invest purposefully in order to achieve goals in these two provinces.
