Background and Objectives: Iran has 8, 000 thousand kilometers of water and earth borders with its neighbors, which reveals the need for border control and surveillance with various tools, including special training. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of new geographic technology training (GIS, GPS & RS) on the empowerment of Sistan and Baluchestan border control stations commanders. Method: This research is descriptive-analytical in terms of purpose, applied and in terms of implementation method. The statistical population of this study was 53 managers and border guards of Sistan and Baluchestan province. Data were gathered using a valid and reliable questionnaire (Cronbach's alpha = 0. 86) and analyzed by SPSS software and t-test. Findings and Results: The study showed that the teaching of modern geographic technologies (GIS, GPS & RS) has a great influence on their ability to perform their duties from the viewpoint of border guards of Sistan and Baluchestan province. Also, the training of global positioning system, geographic information system and remote sensing system are the priorities of education for border managers, respectively, and the content of training is also the first priority in the training of GIS, "the correct understanding of the maps", in the Global Positioning System, "Identifying critical points of the frontier" and, in remote sensing, "discovering the location and route of crime".
