Aim: The present study aimed to determine The Effectiveness of God-inclined Spiritually Multidimensional Psychotherapy (SMP) in Improving Symptoms of Psychological Disorders and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Methods: The present quasi-experimental study had a pretest-posttest design with experimental and control groups. The statistical population consisted of Iranian Red Crescent Society staff with symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in Tehran in 2019. Among people with symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), we selected 30 individuals using purposive sampling and randomly assigned them to two experimental and control groups (each group consisted of 15 individuals). The research tool consisted of the Symptom Checklist-90-Revised (SCL-90-R) by Derogatis (1994), and the Weiss and Marmar Impact of Event Scale-Revised (IES-R) (1997) completed by both groups. The experimental group received Godinclined Spiritually Multidimensional Psychotherapy (SMP) in twelve 90-minute sessions. We analyzed data using the analysis of covariance. Results: The results indicated that God-inclined Spiritually Multidimensional Psychotherapy (SMP) decreased Symptoms of Psychological Disorders and their subscales (P=0. 001). Conclusion: Therefore, psychological disorders can decrease by regulating human activities in different dimensions and balancing them, and thus, people overcome life problems that are out of control from the actual point of view.

Abstract:

Aim: This study was aimed to determine the effectiveness of solution-focused couple therapy on the improvement of the cognitive flexibility of couples seeking a divorce. Method: This study was a quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test. The population of this study included 20 couples who referred to Mehravar Counseling Center in Tehran. And after screening the population using the Cognitive Flexibility Questionnaire of Dennis and Vander Wal (2010), they were randomly assigned to two groups of solutionfocused couple therapy (10 couples) and a control group (10 couples). The study group received solution-focused couple therapy in 8 sessions of 90 minutes, and the control group was on standby. The data were analyzed using univariate and multivariate analysis of covariance. Results: The results indicated that solution-focused couple therapy is effective in increasing cognitive flexibility (F = 15. 93 and P = 0. 001). Also, solutionfocused couple therapy was effective on the components of perceived controllability (F = 26. 59 and P = 0. 001), perception of different options (F = 5. 35 and P = 0. 026) and selfjustification perception (F=23. 49 and P = 0. 001). Conclusion: Solution-focused couple therapy intervention can be applied as an effective treatment method to increase cognitive flexibility in conflicting couples with troubled relationships.

Abstract:

Aim: The present study aimed to determine the relationship between attitudes toward extramarital affairs with the feeling of inferiority, locus of control, and practice of religious beliefs in wives of addicted men. Methods: The present study was descriptive and correlational, and its statistical population consisted of all women participating in Naranan population meetings in the 5th and 9th districts of Tehran. Among whom, we selected 120 individuals using the convenience sampling method. To collect data, we used the extramarital affair attitude questionnaire (Whatley, 2006), feeling of inferiority source (Khodadadi and Bahrami, 2012), Locus of Control Scale (Rotter, 1966), and practice of religious beliefs questionnaire (Golzari, 2000). We also used inferential statistical methods (spearman's correlation) to analyze data. Results: The results indicated that there were positive and significant relationships between attitudes towards extramarital affairs with the feeling of inferiority and also between attitudes towards extramarital affairs and locus of control in wives of addicts (P=0. 05). There was not any significant relationship between attitudes towards extramarital affairs and the practice of religious beliefs (P>0. 05). Conclusion: Therefore, feeling of inferiority and locus of control affected attitudes toward extramarital affairs, but the present study did not find any effect of practicing religious beliefs on attitudes towards extramarital affairs.

Aim: The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between health anxiety and emotion regulation with rumors on social networks during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: The present study was descriptive and correlational, and its statistical population consisted of all individuals in quarantine in District 19 of Tehran in 2020. The statistical samples included 150 individuals who were selected using the convenience sampling method. The research tools included the Health Anxiety Inventory by Salkovskis and Warwick (2002), The Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (CERQ) by Garnefski and Kraaij (2006), and the internet rumor questionnaire by Kim and Viag (2010), and we collected data using correlation analysis and Multiple Regression. Results: The results indicated that health anxiety positively and significantly predicted rumors, and the positive focus and planning negatively and significantly predicted rumors (P<0. 01). Conclusion: According to the results, psychologists are suggested to provide programs to help improve citizens' health and well-being in these critical circumstances to alleviate concerns that arise from them.

Abstract:

Aim: The present study aimed to determine the effectiveness of reality therapy in improving students' loneliness and academic achievement. Methods: The present quasiexperimental study was conducted with a pretest-posttest design and a control group. The statistical population consisted of all female students in the first year of high schools in Kermanshah in the academic year of 2015-2016. The research sample consisted of 30 female students who had the highest loneliness and the lowest academic achievement after performing the questionnaire. We randomly selected them and assigned them to experimental and control groups (15 students per group). The research tool was the Loneliness Scale designed by Russell, Peplau, and Cutrona (1980), and we used students' term grade point average to measure their academic achievement. Results: The results indicated that group reality therapy training decreased loneliness (F=22. 84, P<0. 001) and increased academic achievement (F=23. 56, P<0. 001) in the students. Furthermore, reality therapy training could reduce loneliness and increase students' academic achievement. Conclusion: Reality therapy training caused empowerment and self-perception in students as the source of practice and it emphasized intrinsic motivation and sense of responsibility for behaviors, and thus it increased the feeling of self-worth, reduced loneliness, and increased academic achievement in the students.

Abstract:

Aim: The present systematic review and metaanalysis aimed to examine the effectiveness of psychological interventions in improving students' mental health at Exceptional Talent Schools of Iran. Methods: The present research was a systematic review and meta-analysis, and its statistical population consisted of all domestic studies that were searched using keywords, including the SAMPAD and Exceptional Talent students in databases, namely Ensani. ir, SID. ir, Google Scholar, the Iranian Research Institute for Information Science and Technology (IranDoc), and Magiran. com. Using a purposive sampling method, we found 327 studies and finally reviewed 18 methodologically acceptable studies. The research tool was according to the PRISMA guideline in the systematic review method, and we used the meta-analysis checklist tool in the meta-analysis method. Results: According to the results, the positivism intervention, emotional regulation, and successful intelligence, as well as anxiety and self-confidence with the highest prevalence had the highest contribution in terms of psychological-educational interventions. The highest effect size belonged to a study by Lahijanian et al. (2020) on the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy on self-perception and the less effect size belonged to a study by Niknam et al. (2017) on the effectiveness of creative problem-solving training on social adjustment. Conclusion: The psychological interventions were effective in improving students' mental health at Exceptional Talent Schools; hence, it seems that psychological interventions can be used as a suitable way to improve students' mental health at Exceptional Talent Schools.
