This article is a study about changes in the form of Iranian cities and social context in which those changes took place in the Islamic period. In Sassanid period, Iranian cities, it is said, had three major parts, namely Kohan-Dej, sharestan and shar-re bironi. According some Islamic historical sources, this structure was preserved during Islamic period. Dose it, as some scholars claim; mean the social strutctures of Iranian cities kept on continuation in Islamic period? Here are the research questions: 1. Dose the continuation of these elements in Islamic Iranian towns indicates the lack of changes in the nature of social-economic relations with passage of time?2. Dose the rise of Rabaz region was a result of the relations of urban relationships?3. What is the pattern process of change in social relations in Iranian cities in Islamic period?Considering the social change and evolution of econimical and social realationships in urban areas and rise of new social-economic activities along with building new buildings (e.g. bazar, cathedral mosque, arg …) the new unified system started emerging in Rabaz region.
