Abstract: 

هدف: مقاله حاضر به بررسی ویژگی های برنامه حافظه جهانی یونسکو و تبیین اهداف یونسکو برای تدوین چنین برنامه ای می پردازد. تاثیر ثبت جهانی میراث مستند مساله دیگری است که این مقاله در نظر دارد آن را روشن سازد.روش: این مقاله با رویکرد توصیفی- تحلیلی برمبنای روش کتابخانه ای و نیز اقدام پژوهی در معرفی آثار ایران به یونسکو تدوین شده است.یافته ها: شرکت در برنامه هایی که به ثبت و معرفی آثار مربوط به کشورمان می پردازند می تواند از چند بعد دارای ارزش باشد. از سویی توجه به یک اثر، اطلاع رسانی برای آن و شناساندن این میراث به همه جهان که در زمینه حفاظت بهتر اثر نیز موثر خواهد بود و از سویی دیگر معرفی مجموعه های فرهنگی ایران و اسلام به فرهنگ های دیگر در جهان از اهمیت زیادی برخوردار است. این تحقیق نشان می دهد که به دلیل بعد وسیع برنامه حافظه جهانی، در ایران اندیشمندان و مسوولان باید با اعتنای بیشتری به آن نگاه کنند.

Objective: The present study examined and analyzed citation frequency of ISI cited journals in organic chemistry for 2006. Number of citations to each reference within a given text was counted. By employing citation analysis based on frequency, the study posits the possibility of using citation frequency as a significant indicator in citation analysis researches based on citation count.Methodology: A standard citation frequency analysis was used. It is a type of citation analysis focusing on citation frequency which is standard since both articles and citations were drawn from ISI indexed journals.Findings: Findings indicated that out of every 10 citations, 8 in-context citations belong to journals indexed in ISI. The distribution of this frequency is not normal.3.5% of journals had the highest frequency while 40% had been repeated only once. A significant distinction between citations means and frequencies was discerned.

Objective: Correlation of journal self-citation with journal impact factors as reported by Islamic Science Citation Database for technology and engineering academic journals published in Farsi during 2001-2007 periods.Methodology: Citation analysis was deployed over a sample consisting of 73 journals with indexed impact factor in ISC.Finding: Findings indicate that there is a significant link between self-citation and journal factor. There is also a negative significance between impact factors and total number of articles published. However no significant link was discerned between number of articles and number of self-citations. Journal self-citation ratio during this period had been constant for these journals.Upon eliminating journal self-citations, 21 journals experienced a dip in rank, while 43 journals experienced an increase.9 journals experienced no change in ranking

Abstract: 

Objective: To investigate the study behavior displayed by Isfahan University graduate students when immersed in a digital environment.Methodology: A survey using self-designed questionnaire was carried out. Content validity was audited by a number of LIS Faculty members and their suggestions were duly employed. The sample was 286 students randomly selected from 3892 graduate students.Findings: The Engineering and Technology Faculty had the highest rate of studying of electronic resources, while the Science Faculty had the highest number of hard prints from the said resources. Students are more inclined towards a non-linear browsing and rarely engage in deep and critical studies. Ph.D. candidates mostly use browsing while graduate students take a hard print of electronic documents. No significant difference was observed between males and female [students].

Objective: The present study reviews the status of collection development policies in libraries of research centers and institutes overseen by the Agricultural Research, Education and Extensions.Methodology: A survey method was employed. Information was collected by questionnaire sent out to 63 special libraries. 77.8 percent responded Findings: 41 percent of libraries studied had a collection development sections.22.4 percent have a written policy and objective.83.8 percent secure their information resources through donations, while 30.7 percent use exchange.40.8 percent vet their collections annually while 26 libraries (53/1 percent) don’t do so.53 percent lack a selection committee. Suggestions were offered in order to optimize and create a balanced and coordinated collection.

Objective- The present study was conducted to measure the quality of services offered by libraries in Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences (KUMS) based on gap analysis.Methodology: A random sampling using appropriate allocation was used.195 were selected from among potential library users. Liquid Questionnaire was used.Finding: The average service adequacy gap is positive for KUMS libraries (0.12), i.e. they have succeeded in fulfilling the least expectations of their users. The service quality gap is negative (-2.22), i.e. the library is still a long way from satisfying the user need at the most desired level of services. With respect to service impact, unlike the other two, the libraries have been at least able to provide user accepted services in appropriate manner.
