Abstract

 Abstract of this research with the aim of evaluating the amount of "The misconceptions of students in relation to the physical states of matter and the characteristics of particles that make up materials, including density, shape, size, distance between particles and the movement of particles that make up materials in different physical states "has been carried out in a descriptive-analytical way. The campus and the statistical sample of the research included 129 female students of the 7th and 8th grades of Hikmat Girls' High School in Pardis city. Of these, 76 were in the 7th grade and 53 were in the 8th grade. In order to collect information about the students' situation in terms of understanding and perceptions questionnaires consisting of 5 four-choice diagnostic questions related to the physical states of matter were designed and provided to them in order to extract possible misunderstandings of the students to evaluate their understanding of the students' answers. Data was collected and subjected to descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the analysis of the research findings, it was found that some students have a misunderstanding in understanding the concept of physical states of matter.
