Title

GEOCHEMICAL ANOMALIES SEPARATION FROM BACKGROUND BY USING OF MULTIFRACTAL MODELING IN IPAK POLY METALLIC DEPOSIT (ESHTEHARD)

Abstract

Geochemical anomalies separation from background is an important stage in mineral exploration. Nowadays, methods basis fractal geometry are very applicable according to their advantages such attention to as surface and spatial data distributions and anomalies geometric shapes. Concentration-area (C-A) method is very applicable and one of its important advantages is multifractal nature of elements distribution in any region. These natures could help for determination of elements enrichments stages. It is MULTIFRACTAL MODELING. Main goal of this study is PB, ZN and CU anomalies separations from background in poly metallic IPAK deposit in Tehran province. There is an old lead mine. First, 75 lithogeochemical samples were collected and analyzed. Next, the area is gridded and evaluated grades. Then, C-A log-log plots for these elements were drawn and anomalies separated from background. Basis MULTIFRACTAL MODELING results, elements distribution maps drew and anomalous populations were separated by high accuracy. Multifractal natures of these elements show that there are 2 or higher enrichment stages for the elements. Finally, these maps composed by economic geology data and faults that it shows high level of accuracy MULTIFRACTAL MODELING. Best anomalous area situated in centre of deposit and low intensive anomaly situated in western part of this deposit.
