Abstract

This research was done for determination of spices diversity of migratory wintering WATERFOWL and wader's fauna in PARISHAN INTERNATIONAL WETLAND during a 21 year period from 1989 to 2010. PARISHAN INTERNATIONAL WETLAND with an area of 4800 hectares is located in 12 Km’s of Kazeron city, Fars province, and southwest of Iran. Its geographical and spatial position is 51o 43’ 50” to 51o 52’ 35” E and 29o 27’ 40” to 29o 32’ 25” N.In this study, during a 21year period from 1989 to 2010, 85 species from 6 orders and 15 families of the bird’s fauna of Iran were recognized at this area. Among families of WATERFOWL and WADERS recognized in PARISHAN INTERNATIONAL WETLAND the largest family is Ralidae with 35.42 percent abundance and the smallest family is Ciconidae with 0.01 percent abundance. The results show that in this period’s wader's fauna with 58.1 percent and WATERFOWL fauna with 41.9 percent have the highest and lowest abundances respectively. Application of BIODIVERSITY INDEX among these years of studying shows that based on the spices diversity and evenness the year of 2001 has the highest biodiversity of migratory wintering WATERFOWL and wader' s fauna in PARISHAN INTERNATIONAL WETLAND and year of 2008 has the lowest biodiversity (P<0.05).
