Abstract

 In the present work, an electrochemical sensor prepared for D-Penicillamine by modified carbon paste electrode with ACETYLFERROCENE. For the first time, electrochemical behaviour of D-Pencillamine at the surface of ACETYLFERROCENE modified carbon paste electrode has been investigated using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and chronoamperometric method. The experimental results suggest that the MODIFIED ELECTRODE exhibits electrocatalytic effect on the oxidation of D-pencillamine resulting in a marked enhancement of the anodic peak current response. Under the optimal conditions, the anodic peak current was linearly dependent on the concentration of D-penicillamine in the range of 0.07 to 1 mM and 0.002 to 0.022 mM with CV and amperometric method, respectively. The detection limits (3d) were also estimated to be 0.05 and 0.001 mM. Some kinetic parameters, such as the catalytic rate constant (k=2.88 cm3 mol-1 s-1) of PENICILLAMINE, were calculated.Simplicity, cheapness, high sensitivity, good reproducibility of the electrodes with the low detection limit can be found including the outstanding properties of this electrode.
