Abstract

In this assay we study the relation between LAND USE CHANGE and underground water change by means of regression correlation in particular region. In order to fulfill our aim we have selected KARAJ AQUIFER as case study. In this way land use and underground water quality maps for three zones of time 1986, 1996, 2005 were studied. For the next phase of study, map of zoning for underground water quality was collected to spot distribution of different application in different underground water zone. The result manifests the great change in land use area. Regression correlating demonstrates a proportion between residential-industrial land use and level of chloride aid and TDS in underground water for the same area. In next step in order to determine the level of land use coincidence in 2005 with potential capability of the area, the ecological capability of the area was evaluated and mapped. Comparison among land use application in 2005 and its capability map portrayed the lack of adaptation between development of application and capability of region in consecutive years.
