Abstract

Sea level rises have had an increasing trend in the last decade. Due to satellite measurements, the sea level data have an unprecedented accuracy today. The tide gages measurements have shown a 1.8±0.3 mm/year increase in the sea levels for the last 50 years, however the measurements of TOPEX/Poseidon and Jason-1 satellites shown a 3.1±0.4 mm/year increase for the years after 1993. In this paper, a review on the SEA LEVEL RISE, and also the reasons according to the past researches will be made.
