Abstract

If G is a connected GRAPH with vertex set V, then the ECCENTRIC CONNECTIVITY INDEX of G, xc (G), is defined as ΣuÎV deg (u) ecc (u) where deg (u) is the degree of a vertex u and ecc (u) is its eccentricity. Let A, B and C are families of GRAPHs made by joining Pn to Km, made by putting Km instead of each vertex in Pn and made by putting Cm instead of each vertex in Pn, respectively. In this paper we compute the ECCENTRIC CONNECTIVITY INDEX of these families of GRAPHs.
