Abstract

It is the age of knowledge. The words like knowledge economy and knowledge organization show the total role of knowledge and information in acquiring of competitive advantage and achieving development. In knowledge economy, universities, in addition to education and research, posse the new mission of increasing participation in Innovation and Technology development. In the overall process of knowledge economy, the relationship of universities and industries is part of total and long run policy of country’s science and technology. In this respect, universities based on their capacities as producer and disseminators of knowledge have an essential role in industrial and technological innovation. Then, the university-industry relation is critical now, more than any time. Although, it is not a new issue, but needs novel solution in different aspects. In this paper, the INFLUENTIAL FACTORS ON MUTUAL RELATIONShip at the macro-level are examined. In addition, by using the results of a comparative study offers some suggestions for facilitating of university-industry linkage.
