Abstract

During a faunistic survey on mites associated with PISTACHIO trees which was conducted in 2007-2008 in Mahvalat region and campus of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, specimens of Shevtchenkella recki (Bagd.) were collected for the first time. The morphological characters of this species and closely related species are given. By this report, the number of eriophyid species on PISTACHIO trees reached to three. Some important morphological characters of three eriophyid species found on PISTACHIO trees in IRAN are compared.
