Abstract

In order to study the micropaleontology, paleoenvironment and biostratigraphy of Taleh-Zang formation, four stratigraphic columm in Lourestan province were measured. These are located in west of Ghaleby village (50 km of south Khorram abad, north of Visian (20 km of south Khorram abad), chenar section in southwest of Khorram abad and Darabi Mountain, 100 km southwest Khorram abad and 10 km North of Kohdasht. At the studied region, Taleh-Zang Formation resets comformable on the Amiran Formation and is comformable underlain by the Kashkan Formation.From the micropaleontological and sedimentological point of view 165 thin sections were carefully studied. Based stratigraphical potential of foraminifera of Taleh -Zang Formation is assigned to the late Paleocene (thanetian) age.
