Abstract

This study was designed for understanding REPRODUCTIVE BIOLOGY of major shrimps in NORTHEAST OF QESHM ISLAND with adjacent Mangrove area. sampling was carried out monthly since March 2008 to June 2010. The analysis showed that the sex ratio was not 1:1either seasonally or annually for all species (p<0.05). The peak of spawning was obtained for P.MERGUIENSIS, M.STEBBINGI and P.stylifera in spring season but for Jinga shrimp (M. affinis) is able multiple spawner per year.
