Abstract

Considering that providing required loading and unloading services is of high importance, especially in competition among ports, defining appropriate criteria and applying an appropriate method for evaluation and selection of companies providing these services would be one of the priorities and necessities for port authorities. In the present article, the multi- criteria decision- making method is applied for EVALUATION AND SELECTION OF PORT CONTRACTORS. Six questionnaires were applied, three of which were to define the selection criteria, two of them were to determine the weighting of criteria, and one of them was to collect the applicants' data. After data collection and applying AHP method, three criteria were selected which are: »corporate and financial profile of applicants«, »the capacity of investment on facilities, equipment and systems«, and »facilities action plan«. On the other hand, considering that the compatibility ratio of the entire paired comparison matrices is less than 0.1, the reliability is approved.
