Abstract

The Contamination of environment by TOXIC ELEMENTS is a worldwide problem, since these elements are indestructible and most of them have toxic effects on living organisms, when they exceed a certain concentration. Sediments, as the largest resources of heavy metals, play a rather important role in the transformation of TOXIC ELEMENTS.
