Abstract

In this study POLLEN morphology of 8 species of ALYSSUM (sec. GAMOSEPALUM( from two CONNATE and LIBERA series was studied by using the light microscope. this characters were seen in all species: the general type of POLLEN was tricolpate. the shape of POLLEN was prolate, in polar and equatorial view was spheroidal, enlarge respectively.quantitative characters such as Polar axis(P), Equatorial axis(E) and P/E was very different between species. In sum three groups in section was determined. On the base of this research taxonimy of sec. GAMOSEPALUM was confirmed and LIBERA divided to two stellate and lepidote subseries.
