Abstract

The main objective in this paper is to know the relation and the impact of religious beliefs on the aggressiveness in the students of Shahed Girl High Schools of the of Tehran city. This research was a ground finding type or a guided survey which is one of the explanatory descriptive research types. The target group of this research was consisted of 1246 girl students studying in Shahed girl high schools of Tehran in the school year of 2009-2010. In this research 291 students were selected as research samples according to Kerjessy and Morgan formula. Layered sampling was used for optimal attribution and random sampling to select the subjects qualified to test the research study.The tools used in this research consisted of the AGQ aggressiveness questionnaire and the religious secular questionnaire. The results of this research showed that there was a negative significant relationship between aggressive behaviors and the religious beliefs of children of martyrs and war injured soldiers with normal students. The ratio calculated in beliefs compared to aggressiveness and the average of religious beliefs of children of war injured soldiers, martyrs and normal children was significant. Therefore the significant difference between religious beliefs and the average notes of aggressiveness of the three above-mentioned groups was confirmed. And the results of Tooki chasing test showed that the average of religious beliefs in children of martyrs was higher than the children of war injured soldiers and the average of the second group is higher than the normal children. And also the average aggressiveness notes of the children of war injured soldiers were higher than the children of martyrs and normal people.
