Title

ANALYSIS OF STRUCTURAL SPECIFICATIONS IN SHAH NESHIN AREA (THE EASTERN BORDER OF KORDESTAN PROVINCE)

Abstract

 According to Nabavi division (1976), Shah Neshin area is a portion of Central Iran (Azarbaijan) which has been covered by Cenozoic deposits. So, Alpine evolutions created various structures in these deposits and our aim had been analysis of structural specifications. Therefore, structural map of Shah Neshin area (1:50000) provided by geological quadrangle map of Takab, Aeromagnetic Map of Shah in Dezh and field studies. Then, structural features described and structural elements were analysed. According to this, Shah Neshin area has Progressive deformation whose homogeneous strain is mostly pure shear. But, Continuation of regional Compress in direction of N25°E during recent several million years and the decrease of the ability of pure shear, caused simple shear to accompany with pure shear, too
