Abstract

 IN THIS STUDY, SOLUBILITY DATA WERE REGRESSED FOR 2-PROPOXYETHANOL (C3E1) DISSOLVED IN N-HEXANE AND N-HEPTANE AT THE TEMPERATURE RANGE FROM 303.15K TO 323.15K BY NRTL MODEL. NRTL MODEL WAS FOUND TO PROVIDE AN ACCURATE MATHEMATICAL REPRESENTATION OF THE EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS, WITH OVERALL AVERAGE ABSOLUTE RELATIVE DEVIATIONS BETWEEN EXPERIMENTAL AND CALCULATED VALUES AS 9.15%. THE RESULTS SHOWED THAT THE NRTL MODEL IS SUITABLE FOR DESCRIPTION OF THE GAS-LIQUID EQUILIBRIUM CONTAINING 2-PROPOXYETHANOL (C3E1).
