Abstract

IN THIS PAPER, SOME NEW MATRICES WITH GIRTH 6 ARE PRESENTED WHICH CAN BE USED AS THE MOTHER MATRICES OF SOME COLUMN-WEIGHT THREE QUASI CYCLIC (QC) LOW-DENSITY PARITY-CHECK (LDPC) CODES WITH GIRTH 20 AND LARGE ENOUGH RATES. THE CLASS OF LDPC CODES DERIVED FROM OUR CONSTRUCTION POSSESSES MUCH MORE EXIBILITY IN TERMS OF CODE LENGTH AND RATE. ALSO, THE LENGTH OF SOME CONSTRUCTED CODES WITH GIRTH 20 IS VERY SMALLER THAN THE LENGTH OF THE PREVIOUS CONSTRUCTED QC LDPC CODES WITH THE SAME PARAMETERS.
