Abstract

 IN THIS PAPER, WE INTRODUCE A NEW APPROACH TO FIND THE BEST AORTO-CORONARIC BYPASS CONFIGURATION. OUR APPROACH MAINLY IS BASED ON THE DEFINITION OF A MEASURE ON A PRODUCT SPACE, THEN BY USING MEASURE THEORY APPROACH (EMBEDDING METHOD), THE PROBLEM OF OPTIMAL DESIGN OF BYPASS CONFIGURATION IS METAMORPHOSED TO A LINEAR PROGRAMMING PROBLEM, WHERE THE NEW PROBLEM CAN BE SOLVED EASILY BY SIMPLEX METHOD. SINCE THE ORIGINAL AND NEW PROBLEMS ARE ISOMORPHIC, SO WE CAN FIND THE OPTIMAL SHAPE OF BYPASS CONFIGURATION. AN ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE DEMONSTRATES THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE PROPOSED METHOD.
