Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of philosophy of self-control education for children on selfcontrol of second grade elementary students in Yazd. The research method was quasi-experimental with pre-test-post-test design with control group and the statistical population included all fifth grade elementary students in Yazd in the academic year 2009-2010. The sample size consisted of 30 students who were selected by multi-stage cluster random sampling method and randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. The research tool for collecting information was the Child and Perceived Perceptual self-control Questionnaire (1982). Interpersonal, individual self-control and self-assessment are effective and improve it.
