Abstract

Background and aim: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of family functioning on the tendency to smoke and marijuana in young girls aged 20 to 30 years. Materials and methods: Due to the nature and purpose of this research, it is an applied type for which a quasi-experimental research method with an experimental group and a questionnaire design has been used. The statistical population of all female students of Yadegar Imam University is 20 to 30 in Tehran. Have been to study. Using cluster random sampling method, 50 students were selected as the sample. Yang parenting style questionnaires and Wade and Butcher addiction readiness questionnaires were distributed among them and randomly tested in a group of 50 people. The independent variable in this test was family performance and the tendency to smoke and marijuana were dependent variables. Results: The results of Pearson correlation test show the two variables of addiction readiness and family functioning. According to the results, the correlation coefficient between the addiction readiness score and family performance is 745. 0. This correlation coefficient indicates that there is a positive correlation between these two variables. It is also significant according to the amount of these two variables. Therefore, the relationship between family performance in the tendency to smoke and marijuana smoking in girls aged 20 to 30 years is significant and the research hypothesis has been confirmed. Conclusion: According to the results, family performance is effective in the tendency of smoking and marijuana smoking in young girls 20 to 30 of Yadegar Imam University.
