This research was carried out to investigate the relationship between personality traits (neuroticcism, extroversion, openness, agreeableness and consciousness) and job characteristics (skill, task autonomy, task identity, skill variety, task significance and feedback) with organizational commitment (affective commitment, continuous commitment, normative commitment) in Ahvaz Water and Power Organization. The sample consisted of 200 subjects selected by a stratified random sampling method from the organizational staff. In this research, different instruments were used to collect data, such as personality Traits Questionnarie (NEO-PI-R) and job Diagnostic Survey (GDS) and Allen and Meyers Organizational Commitment Questionnaire (OCQ). To analyza the data, Person Correlation, MANOVA, and Cronbach Alpha tests were used. Results indicated that Personality traits correlate significant relationships were revealed between job characteristics on one hand, and affective commitment and normative and continuous commitment. The level of singnificant in this study was P<0.05.
