Abstract:

Introduction &, Objective: The epidemic of COVID19 in Iran has wide-ranging effects. The impact of the disease on medical education led to the closure of universities and the restriction of treatment to emergency interventions. With the closure of university classes, online and distance education became more widespread. This study examines the quantity and quality and effectiveness of online training in the postgraduate course of plastic surgery. Materials &, Methods: The present study is a descriptive-analytical cross-sectional study that was approved by the Medical Ethics Committee. In this study, the satisfaction of residents and professors of the Department of Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery in terms of quantity and quality of virtual education classes was examined. For this purpose, a questionnaire and quantitative information about class time and participation rate based on available documents and class videos were used. Data analysis was performed using SPSS software version 22. The frequency of qualitative variables was measured as percentage and ratio and the frequency of quantitative variables was measured by calculating the mean and standard deviation. Results: The results of the study in ten domains include: the use of teaching aids in the virtual education process, the possibility of participants&, #039, access to educational resources, review of interaction and mutual participation, satisfaction with class time, access to the class for participants, evaluation methods and tests Virtual access to out-of-class teachers, satisfaction with the teaching method, satisfaction with the content presented in the class and general satisfaction with the virtual education course were evaluated and showed that in all cases virtual education with a statistically significant difference accepted by group members Is located. Conclusions: Given corona disease persists and similar diseases may occur in the future, and given that our study recommends the appropriateness of e-learning, it is better to have this method taught and used on a larger scale.

Abstract:

During coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and the need to continue surgeries in the operating rooms, it is necessary to pay attention to protection of health care workers in daily practice. Aerosol-generating procedures like tracheal intubation and laparoscopic surgery is subject to challenge to find ways beyond the personnel protection equipment (PPE). In this letter we are introducing a concept that is full body light plastic cover with negative pressure for the tracheal intubation time until the end of laparoscopic surgery, that is light, portable, reusable and not cumbersome at all.

Abstract:

Background and purpose: Vitamin D deficiency is highly prevalent in Iran. Death toll due to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is high in this country. The purpose of the present investigation was to provide more information on the relationship between serum levels of vitamin D in confirmed cases of COVID-19 in north of Iran. Materials and methods: This cross-sectional descriptive study was performed in COVID-19 patients (n=80) attending Sari Imam Khomeini Hospital, Iran 2020, who were confirmed for COVID-19 infection with CT-Scan or RT-PCR. Seventy healthy individuals were also examined as the control group. SPSS V19 was applied for data analysis. Results: In this study, 80 patients with COVID-19 (mean age: 57. 22 ± 17. 44 years old) and 70 healthy individuals (mean age: 48. 69 ± 12. 99 years) were studied. There were 38 and 35 males in these two groups, respectively. Serum Vitamin D levels were significantly lower in patients with COVID-19 than those in the control group (18. 72 ± 12. 53 vs. 30. 86 ± 15. 19 ng/ml, P< 0. 001). Conclusion: This study showed that serum levels of Vitamin D were lower in patients with COVID-19 than healthy individuals and frequency of Vitamin D deficiency was higher in these patients. Hence, further studies are needed to clarify the role of serum Vitamin D concentrations in patients with COVID-19 infection.

Abstract:

On March 11th 2020, the coronavirus outbreak was declared a pandemic by the WHO. One of the groups that is considered high risk in this pandemic are cancer patients as they are treated with a variety of immune system suppressor treatment modalities and this puts them in a great risk for infectious disease (including COVID-19). Therefore, cancer patients require higher level measures for preventing and treating infectious diseases. furthermore, cancer patients may bear additional risk due to the restriction of access to the routine diagnostic and therapeutic services during such epidemic. Since most of the attention of health systems is towards patients affected with COVID-19, the need for structured and unified approaches to COVID-19 prevention and care specific to cancer patients and cancer centers is felt more than ever. This article provides the recommendations and possible actions that should be considered by patients, their caregivers and families, physician, nurses, managers and staff of medical centers involved in cancer diagnosis and treatment. We pursued two major goals in our recommendations: first, limiting the exposure of cancer patients to medical environments and second, modifying the treatment modalities in a manner that reduces the probability of myelosuppression such as delaying elective diagnostic and therapeutic services, shortening the treatment course, or prolonging the interval between treatment courses.

Abstract:

Identifying customer behavior, especially customer experience, is a vital driver for the survival and profitability of companies. The dimensions and themes of this construct are very dynamic and changeable, its forming depends on the contextual situation. The more the environmental conditions are unstable, the more correct and timely identification is important. During pervasive crises, the impact of environmental factors on customer behavior is drastically severe. Customers are interested in online shopping due to the obligation made by new regulations: curfews and social distancing during the Covid 19. Subsequently, identifying customer behavior became more and more important to experts and researchers. The purpose of the study is to identify the dimensions and themes, and providing a model for online customer experience in this critical era. The qualitative metasynthesis research approach was employed to systematically analysis and assessment of previous researches. The research population includes all relevant articles and researches. By reviewing 36 selected articles among 326 initial articles, 7 dimensions, 18 themes and 63 codes were identified. Validity and trust of the dimensions, themes and codes were confirmed (kappa = 0. 71). The codes were ranked using Shannon entropy technique, the level of support of previous researches for the research findings was calculated. In this study, two important results were obtained. First, during Covid19, there are seven dimensions in the online customer experience model, including company, app/site, product/service, security, purchase, hygiene, and emotional experiences, revealing a new classification. Second, the dimensions and themes are significantly different from previous models of this construct.
