Abstract: 

Introduction: Alternative punishments of imprisonment, which are called as a new approach of the penal system to fight against the negative consequences of prison, have many Effects and consequences that need to be investigated. Therefore, in this study, while examining the types of alternative punishments, the moral and social Effects of the implementation of these punishments have been explored. Materials and Methods: The present study was conducted using an analytical-descriptive method. In this study, in order to provide an appropriate answer to the question presented, by referring to the theoretical bases (books) and articles published in the ISC, Magiran, Civilica, SID and Ensani in the years 2011 to 2023 and with the method of extracting the existing legal provisions, the effectiveness of this type of punishment was also criticized in reaching the intended goals. Conclusion: The results of this study show that with the implementation of such punishments, the level of public trust, the growth of morals and social capital in the society will also improve. Therefore, the implementation of these punishments, while reducing the criminal population of prisoners and reforming them, provides better implementation of social justice and improvement of public trust, emotional and financial support for the families of criminals

Abstract: 

To map quantitative trait loci (QTL) for harvest index, 148 recombinant inbred lines and their parents, Yecora Rojo and an Iranian landrace line (No. 49), were evaluated under normal and terminal water deficit stress conditions in the research stations of Mahabad University and Miyandoab Agricultural Research Center, Iran, during 2014 and 2015. The experiment was carried out as design alpha lattice design with two replications. A linkage map of 51 retrotransposon and 177 microsatellite markers was used in this investigation. Quantitative trait loci (QTL) for Additive Effects and Additive × Additive interactions were determined by QTL Network 2. 0 software using CIM and mixed-linear methods. QTL analysis revealed that under normal condition, six QTLs (R 2 A= 0. 04 to 12. 0%), two QTL × environment (E) interactions (R 2 AE= 6. 28%), five Additive × Additive epistatic Effects (R 2 AA= 0. 7 to 8. 68%) and 12 Additive × Additive × E (R 2 AAE= 3. 76 to 11. 4%) were significant. Under water deficit stress conditions, two QTLs (R 2 A= 5. 0 to 7. 0%), two Additive × Additive interactions (R 2 AA= 3. 72 to 5. 48%) and seven Additive × Additive × E interactions (R 2 AAE= 8. 04 to 9. 58) were identified. Among the eight QTLs identified, three QTLs were located on chromosome 2D, suggesting the importance of this chromosome in controlling harvest index, which may be used for marker assisted selection in breeding programs.

Abstract: 

In bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L. ), crop height is an important determinant of agronomic performance. To map QTLs with Additive Effects and Additive×Additive epistatic interactions, 148 recombinant inbred lines and their parents, (‘ YecoraRojo’ and Iranian landrace (No. #49)) were evaluated under normal and water deficit conditions. The experiments were carried out on research farms of Mahabad University and Miyandoab Agricultural Research Center in 2014-2015. The experimental design was an alpha lattice design with two replications. Quantitative trait loci (QTL) for the studied traits were carried out for Additive Effects and Additive×Additive epistatic interactions using the QTL Network 2. 0 software based on the mixed-linear model. A number of 177 microsatellite and 51 retrotransposon markers were used to construct the linkage map. In the present study stem length, plant weight, peduncle length, and peduncle weight were measured. Results showed that under both normal and water deficit conditions, both positive and negative transgressive segregations were significant, also the highest and lowest broad and narrow sense heritability were estimated for stem length (73. 69 and 36. 74 percent) and peduncle length (40. 51 and 20. 25 percent), respectably. The results showed that under the normal condition, seven QTLs (R2 A=5 to 11%), and eight Additive×Additive epistatic interactions (R2 AA=1. 66 to 10. 92%) were significant. Under the water deficit condition seven QTLs (R2 A=4. 27 to 9%), and five Additive×Additive epistatic interactions (R2 AA=3. 8 to 14. 58%) were significant. Five QTLs from the 14 QTLs identified in this study were located in chromosome 5A, indicating the importance of this chromosome in controlling the plant architecture characteristics and possibly using it for marker-assisted selection and genetic engineering.

Abstract: 

This study aimed to estimate the genetic parameters of body weight traits in Markhoz goats, using B-spline random regression models. The data used in this study included 19549 records collected during 29 years (1992-2021) in Markhoz goat Breeding Research Station, located in Sanandaj, Iran. The model used to analyze data included fixed Effects (year of birth, sex, type of birth and age of dam) and random Effects including direct Additive genetic, maternal Additive genetic, permanent environmental and maternal permanent environmental assuming homogeneous and heterogeneous residual variance during the time. Akaike (BIC) and Bayesian (BIC) information criteria were used to compare the models and bspq.4.4.4.4 was selected as the best model. The direct heritability values for birth, 3-month, 6-month, 9-month and 12-month weights were estimated to be 0.14, 0.16, 0.08, 0.28 and 0.26, respectively. Genetic correlation between body weights at birth and 3-month, birth and 6-month, birth and 9-month, birth and 12-month, 3-month and 6-month, 3-month and 9-month, 3-month and 12-month, 6-months and 9-month and 9-month and 12-month were 0.22, 0.38, 0.21, 0.56, -0.26, 0.30, 0.62, 0.86 and 0.77, respectively. The highest phenotypic correlation was between the weight of 9-month and 12-month (0.82) and the lowest correlation was between birth weight and 3-month and 6-month (0.12). The results showed that the 9-month weight is a good criterion for selection in Markhoz goats.

Abstract: 

Ten combinations of diallel crosses of five maize inbred lines and their parents were evaluated for grain yield and yield components using randomized complete block design in four replications at Karaj and five other locations including Gorgan, Kerman, Shiraz, Esfehan and Hamadan in year 2000. Combined analysis of variance over locations revealed significant differences among genotypes for all traits, except kernel depth. Environmental effect was significant, showing differences among environments. Significant genotype×environment effect for all traits(except for number of kernels per ear row) was observed, indicating genotypic control of number of kernels per ear row and environmental Effects on other traits. Diallel analysis for grain yield and yield components indicated presence of dominance Effects for grain yield, for Additive Effects 1000 kernel weight and number of rows per ear, and dominant and Additive Effects for number of kernels per ear row. However, the Additive Effects were more important than dominant Effects in controlling number of kernels per ear row.

Abstract: 

in this research, their Effects on the flight of airplanes were investigated. The study area is the country of Iran, and the flight routes of Kermanshah, Ahvaz and BandarAbbas to Tehran. The research data includes maps of the Vertical Transect (profile) of the jet stream, the daily average of the Zonal wind (U-Wind) and meridional wind (V-Wind) components for the winter period of 2018 through NOAA/NCEP environmental databases. Also, flight route information was received from FlightRadar24 and Flightaware systems. First, by using Vertical Transect maps, the days containing strong U-Wind were extracted, and the average position of the core of the Jet Streams in the Zonal and meridional wind components, the Tropospheric level of 200 HP was detected. The list of flights was prepared, and the Zonal Wind maps were produced. Finally, the height of the flights was compared with the level of the currents of the Jet Streams, and the influence or lack of influence of the Jet Streams on the flights was studied. According to the results of the research, all the Jet Streams caused turbulence for all flights, and they caused a decrease in the speed of flights between Ahvaz and BandarAbbas to Tehran and an increase in the speed of flights between Kermanshah and Tehran according to the direction and type of Jet Streams. It was also found that all the Jet Streams had a speed of more than 90 knots, so the capacity to create tension and turbulence such as CAT was seen in them

Abstract: 

Background: Propofol is commonly used for sedation during colonoscopy but often requires high doses. Objectives: This study aimed to compare the outcomes of propofol alone versus propofol combined with clonidine for colonoscopy sedation. Methods: In this randomized, double-blind controlled trial, 60 adult patients scheduled for elective colonoscopy were enrolled. Patients were divided into two groups: Group 1 (G1) received propofol alone, while group 2 (G2) received propofol plus 2 μg/kg clonidine intravenously over 10 minutes. Propofol infusion was initiated at 25 - 75 μg/kg/min IV for the first 10 - 15 minutes, then titrated to 25 - 50 μg/kg/min based on clinical response. Results: Sedation onset was significantly faster in G2 than in G1 (P = 0.001). The total propofol requirement was 22% lower in G2 (P = 0.001). Heart rate (HR) and mean arterial pressure (MAP) were significantly lower in G2 at induction and at the end of the procedure (P < 0.05). Patient satisfaction scores were higher in G2 (P = 0.042). The observer's assessment of alertness/sedation (OAA/S) score after induction was lower in G2 (P = 0.015), indicating deeper sedation. However, Aldrete scores in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) were lower in G2 (P = 0.001), suggesting a slower recovery. Conclusions: The addition of clonidine to propofol for colonoscopy sedation led to faster sedation onset, reduced propofol requirements, improved patient satisfaction, and deeper sedation, but with potentially prolonged recovery times.
