Abstract: 

In this paper the flux density components in the eccentric slotted surface mounted PM Vernier machine are obtained analytically at on-load and no-load conditions. In the modeling process some conformal transformations, including Schwartz Christoffel and bilinear transformations are applied. In addition, the Laplace solution is used to obtain the air gap flux density of the PMs and the armature reaction. To overcome the limitations of existing conformal transformation-based models, the concept of equivalent magnetization current and the uniqueness theorem are adopted. In the provided model, the air gap flux density, the machine cogging torque and the electromagnetic torque are obtained analytically. Finally, the obtained results are compared with the results of finite element analysis.

Abstract: 

In recent years, many policymakers and researchers have considered environmental degradation and pollution, as an international challenge. However, income inequality significantly affects the quality of the environment through social demand and can be important in policymaking. Income inequality, as a relative effect, also causes environmental degradation by changing the preferences of consumers of public environmental goods. This study investigated the effect of income inequality on SO2 and SPM emissions for the period 1990 to 2018 in the form of Johansen's approach. The results show that Gini coefficient has a positive and significant effect on SPM and SO2 emissions, so that one percent increase in Gini coefficient can effect 1. 29 percent increase in SPM emissions and 1. 37 percent increase in SO2 emissions. Based on the estimated results, energy consumption has a positive effect on SPM and SO2 emissions in Iran. So, one percent increase in energy consumption, 1. 12 percent increases SPM emissions and 1. 44 percent SO2 emissions. Economic growth has a positive effect on the release of SPM and SO2 in Iran. One percent increase in economic growth increases 0. 78 percent of SPM emissions and 0. 79 percent of SO2 emissions. According to the coefficient table the variable Ly2 is negative. Therefore, the Kuznets environmental curve hypothesis cannot be rejected during the period under study. Urbanization has a positive and significant effect on SPM and SO2 emissions, so that it increases one percent increase in urbanization, 0. 93% SPM emissions and 0. 97% SO2 emissions.

WAVE CHARACTERISTICS ARE ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTORS IN DESIGN OF COASTAL AND MARINE STRUCTURES. THEREFORE ACCURATE PREDICTION OF WAVE PARAMETERS IS VERY IMPORTANT. THE WAVE HIND CASTING PROCESS IS CONDUCTED BY FIELD MEASUREMENTS, EMPIRICAL METHODS OR NUMERICAL SIMULATIONS. IN THIS PAPER THE SWAN THIRD-GENERATION SPECTRAL MODEL AND SPM (SHORE PROTECTION MANUAL) EMPIRICAL METHOD HAVE BEEN USED FOR PREDICTION OF WAVE PARAMETERS. THE FIELD DATA SET FOR LAKE ERIE OF THE GREAT LAKES IN YEAR 2002 HAS BEEN USED FOR EVALUATION OF THESE METHODS. THE SIGNIFICANT WAVE HEIGHT (HS) AND THE PEAK WAVE PERIOD (TP) WERE THE PARAMETERS EMPLOYED IN THE STUDY. RECTANGULAR GRIDS HAVE BEEN UTILIZED FOR IDENTIFICATION OF BATHYMETRY AND THE SWAN HAS BEEN EXECUTED IN NONSTATIONARY MODE. THE EXPONENTIAL GROWTH FROM WIND INPUT, FOUR-WAVE NONLINEAR INTERACTION, WHITE CAPPING, AND BOTTOM FRICTION HAVE BEEN TAKEN IN THE SIMULATION. THE CALIBRATION OF SWAN WAS CARRIED OUT BASED ON WAVE HEIGHT BECAUSE IT IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN WAVE PERIOD. THE RESULTS OF THIS STUDY SHOW THAT THE AVERAGE SCATTER INDEX OF SWAN IS ABOUT 17 PERCENT FOR SIGNIFICANT WAVE HEIGHT AND 19 PERCENT FOR PEAK PERIOD, WHEREAS AVERAGE SCATTER INDEX OF SPM METHOD IS ABOUT 54 AND 36 PERCENT FOR SIGNIFICANT WAVE HEIGHT AND PEAK PERIOD.

Abstract: 

Background and Objectives: Carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii has recently been identified by the World Health Organization as a critical pathogen. We propose to characterize the molecular characteristics of clinical isolates of A. baumannii resistant to carbapenems collected in a Moroccan hospital. Materials and Methods: Seventy carbapenem-resistant A. baumannii isolates from various samples were received at the mi-crobiology laboratory of the Hospital Center. Antibiotic susceptibility was tested by the diffusion disc method and molecular characterization of antimicrobial resistance was performed by PCR and sequencing. Results: Carbapenemase genes were detected in our isolates: the OXA-51 gene and the ISbA1 sequence were detected in all isolates (100%), the OXA-23 and OXA-58 genes were detected in 82. 85% and 10% of isolates respectively, MBL genes were dominated by VIM 39 isolates (55. 7%), followed by GIM 26 isolates (37%), SIM 20 isolates (28. 5%), IMP 8 isolates (11, 4%), NDM 3 isolates (4%) and for the first time in Morocco SPM with 4 isolates (5. 7%). Conclusion: The emergence of resistance of A. baumannii to carbapenems is a serious problem in our hospital which re-quires the establishment of a prevention strategy and strict respect for hygiene to minimize their dissemination.

Abstract: 

Deriving a dynamic model based on the coupled-mode and carrier rate equations, the effects of coupling coefficient and corrugation position on all-optical flip-flops (AOFF) we have analyzed in this paper. Also the self phase modulation (SPM) in the distributed coupling coefficient distributed feedback semiconductor optical amplifier (DCCDFB- SOA) has been implemented. Then the effects of SPM on the rise and fall times of the flip-flop DFB-SOA are investigated. It has been shown that the application of the optimized coupling coefficient and corrugation position improves the speed limitation in AOFF significantly. The transfer matrix method (TMM) time domain is utilized for the numerical simulations.

Abstract: 

In recent decades, different methods of wave prediction model have been used. Experimental methods, numerical methods, soft computing algorithms are among such methods. In this study, the height of the waves in the Gulf of Mexico is predicted in two different sections. In the first part, the ALM algorithm and GIDS model and in the second part, the experimental methods of SPM and CEM are investigated. For this purpose, first, the collected data and wind stress factor in SPM model were pre-processed using ALM and GIDS models. After investigations, it was determined that the wind stress factor should be corrected with a dimensionless correction factor p⁄((1⁄2 ρ〖〖 u〗_10〗^2 ) ). In the next step, the most suitable input of the GIDS model was selected and in order to reduce the time of this modeling, different combinations of modified wind stress factor Ua with wavelength were considered, which resulted in the parameter U_a (gX)^(-0.02) The most appropriate input for the GIDS model is in predicting the height of the waves. In the second part of the paper, each of the SPM and CEM models was implemented and compared with the optimized GIDS model. The results showed that the GIDS model was more accurate in predicting the wave height of the Gulf of Mexico. Then the wind speed correction coefficient was modified using a genetic algorithm and with this operation the SPM model was modified and presented as the most appropriate prediction model.

Abstract: 

Single Point Mooring (SPM) are floating Structures that are deployed in deep water which their duties are vessel mooring and transferring oil and gas productions by pipelines from shore to petroleum tankers and conversely. One of the most important components of SPM is mooring system. Which bears not only environmental loads but also petroleum tanker loads which conducted by two thick ropes. Mooring system of SPM regarding the important responsibility it has, has been pay attention to a lot. Proper mooring system leads to efficiency improvement in different environmental conditions and mooring system life increase. In this research SPM with four mooring lines are simulated by ANSYS AQWA Software and forces on the SPM calculated diffraction theorem and Boundary Element and mooring lines are calculated by Morrison theorem.
