Abstract:

In this article, we examine transitivity and Intransitivity in Standard Persian. traditional grammarians and linguists divide verbs into two or three groups: transitive, intransitive, and both transitive and intransitive. Here according to Hopper and Thompson (1980) transitivity is considered as discourse-based phenomenon is divided into some components or features. The existence of two participants: agent and patient, is only one of these components or features. Transitivity is a continuum. We can speak of low or high transitivity.

FOR A LOCALLY COMPACT GROUP G AND TWO CLOSED SUBGROUPS H, N OF G, WE ARE GOING TO WRITE MG/H AS THE INTEGRAL, WITH RESPECT TO MG/N OF A FAMILY OF MEASURES ON G=H INDEXED BY THE POINTS OF G=N, IN WHICH MG/H AND MG/N ARE MEASURES ON QUOTIENT SPACES G/H AND G/N, RESPECTIVELY.

Abstract:

In this paper we consider a strongly regular relation q on hypermodules so that the quotient is a module (with abelian group) over a fundamental commutative ring. Also, we state necessary and sufficient conditions so that the relation q is transitive, and finally we prove that q is transitive on hypermodules.

Abstract:

In this paper, we investigate the relation between hyper cyclicity and d-dense orbits of a tuple of operators. Also, we characterize conditions under which a tuple of continuous operators is hereditarily transitive.

Abstract:

The folded hypercube $FQ_n$ is the Cayley graph Cay$(\mathbb{Z}_2^n,S)$, where $S=\{e_1,e_2,\dots,e_n\}\cup \{u=e_1+e_2+\dots+e_n\}$, and $e_i = (0,\dots, 0, 1, 0,$ $\dots, 0)$, with 1 at the $i$th position, $1\leq i \leq n$. In this paper, we show that the folded hypercube $FQ_n$ is a distance-transitive graph. Then, we study some properties of this graph. In particular, we show that if $n\geq 4$ is an even integer, then the folded hypercube $FQ_n$ is an $automorphic$ graph, that is, $FQ_n$ is a distance-transitive primitive graph which is not a complete or a line graph.

Abstract:

In this article, it is argued that there is a functional category Tr (Transitivity) located between Pr (Predicate) and V (Verb) which is present in all transitive sentences in the Persian language, regardless of whether they are transitive active, passive or middle. Tr may contain a probe with (object) -features and assign accusative Case. In Persian, like other languages, as Bowers (2002) claims, in contrast to Pr, Tr does not assign a theta-role in its specifier position. Hence, the functions of the traditional light verb category "v" are split between Pr and Tr in Persian, like other languages studied by bowers (2002). Empirical evidence from Persian supports this claim as those from other languages studied by Bowers (2002), such as English, Russian, Scottish Gaelic, Icelandic, Ukrainian, and German. It seems that this approach can analyze the Persian data in an appropriate way.

Abstract:

Noun incorporation is considered as a word formation process which is not treated similarly in different languages and has various representations. The incorporated noun is unmarked for features of definiteness and specificity; it does not take definite article, demonstratives or case marking. This study aims at finding an explanatory account for this phenomenon in Persian in order to decide whether a particular structure involves incorporation or not. To do this, incorporation is examined with respect to its relation to transitivity as a prototypical phenomenon. In this regard, it may be analyzed according to the notion of the degree of transitivity and the presence or absence of different transitivity parameters. The results show that the two parameters of individuation of object as well as affectedness of object specifically have role in the occurrence of incorporation. Aspect, also, has some effect through its relation to affectedness. Therefore, incorporation is better to be considered as an instance of transitivity decrease which occurs due to the lack of object individuation and object affectedness in a transitive clause. The deviation from the prototypical transitive clause due to the absence of these features is responsible for the structural differences of the incorporated clauses with that prototype.

Abstract:

This paper of comparative grammar deals with the issue of transitivity of the verb in Farsi and Arabic. It begins by the cases of non-coordination in the two languages. Indeed, some transitive verbs in Arabic are intransitive in Farsi, and vice versa. Examples are displayed and commented at length. Then, the various cases of conformity are discussed (i.e. verbs which are both transitive or intransitive in Farsi ~md Arabic).

Abstract:

A subalgebra H of  L  is called an α -subalgebra, if H  has the property α. Also, we say that a subalgebra H  of a Lie algebra L  is α -transitive, whenever each α -subalgebra of H  is an α -subalgebra of L  and a subalgebra H  of L  is α -sensitive if for every α -subalgebra K  of H, there is an α -subalgebra A of L  such that A⋂H=K . These concepts are analogous to the concepts of α -transitive and α -sensitive subgroups of finite groups. In this paper, the main results are based on the properties cover-avoidance, maximality, ideality, and c-ideality, and in particular, we examine α -transitive and maximal-sensitive subalgebras. Furthermore, we obtain the influence of these notions on the structure of finite-dimensional Lie algebras and we give some results about supersolvable Lie algebras.
