Abstract:

Introduction: Dysmenorrhea is a common general and personal health problem in young and middle-aged women. Various methods have been used to reduce the pain of dysmenorrhea, including psychotherapy, TENS, nutrition, vitamins and medications. Two widely used methods are inhalation aromatherapy and massage with various essential oils with sedative properties such as lavender. Concerning the effects of dysmenorrhea, negative impact on quality of life, job and educational performance, the important role of midwives in pain management, and the use of complementary interventions, and due to the low cost and availability of lavender oil, the aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of Lavender on dysmenorrhea. Methods: In this systematic review study, the search was performed using words related to lavender and dysmenorrhea from 2000 to 2022 in banks and reputable Persian and English information search engines. 1176 articles were obtained that with the inclusion criteria and similarity of title, content and consistency with the present study, 22 articles were selected. Results: Lavender massage and aromatherapy have a great effect on reducing pain and anxiety caused by dysmenorrhea. Massage therapy with oil reduces tension, pain and relaxation, and if they contain lavender, they cause significant pain relief. Lavender essential oil significantly reduced the severity of dysmenorrhea compared to mefenamic acid. To reduce the pain and the period of pain, Lavender aromatic candle therapy is used, which was effective in reducing abdominal cramps in dysmenorrhea. Pain tolerance levels were higher in people who used lavender cream. Conclusion: Due to the positive effects of lavender, it is recommended to use lavender aromatherapy in various types of dysmenorrhea.

Objective: Given the presence of most fatty acids and proven anti-inflammatory properties in avocado oil, the present study was an attempt to examine its effect on the skin wound healing process in rats. Aim: The effect of avocado on wound healing in rats Material and Methods: a total of 30 rats with the same weight range were randomly divided into three groups, including control, treatment with avocado oil, and treatment with phenytoin after anesthesia and creating a full-thickness skin wound with an area of 4 cm behind them. Wound healing was examined histologically and wound area was examined during the third, seventh and fourteenth days. Results: Based on results of the present study, a significant relationship was observed between the group treated with avocado oil and the group treated with phenytoin in terms of wound area in rats (p <0. 05). On the studied days, the wound area of the group treated with avocado oil was significantly smaller than that of the group treated with phenytoin and the control group. Conclusion: The research results revealed that avocado oil can increase collagen synthesis, reduce the number of inflammatory cells, accelerate the process of coagulation and accelerate the regeneration of epithelium and accelerate the healing process. Hence, it can be an appropriate option for the treatment of skin wounds.

Abstract:

The use of native biofertilizers in Iran requires quality control of this type of fertilizer. Quality control of biofertilizers is a multi-step process and greenhouse testing is the most important step in using fertilizer. Accordingly, in order to investigate the effects of inoculation of conventional Iranian biofertilizers on corn and beans, a greenhouse experiment was conducted in a completely randomized design with 5 treatments (control, Barvar 2, Supernitroplus, Nitroxin and Biosuperphosphate) and 4 replications. The results showed that the use of biofertilizers had a significant effect on beans and corn. In Bean plant, the total fresh weight for Barvar2 treatment with an average of 67. 10 g was the highest. Comparison of mean nitrogen concentration showed that Nitroxin biofertilizer treatment increased by 40. 5% compared to control. In maize, nitrogen concentration was highest for Biosuperphosphate and Barvar 2 treatments with 0. 91% and 0. 81%, respectively. The chlorophyll index for Barvar 2 and Biosuperphosphate is the highest with an average of 4. 945. Also, the comparison of the mean showed that the concentration of iron in the root of maize in the biosuperphosphate treatment (832. 7 mg/kg-1) was the highest and no statistical difference was observed between Barvar 2 and Nitroxin and control treatments.

Abstract:

Introduction: Myiasis in livestock and humans is one of the most common larvae that affects the upper part and other parts of the body. This disease is caused by the presence of the larvae of Oestrus ovis and other productive flies and can be located in places such as natural cavities of the body such as eyes, ears and sinuses and if left untreated, it can have irreparable consequences, especially for humans. Due to the presence of nomads who travel with their families in different parts of the country, it is very necessary to create a comfortable, low-cost and fast-acting treatment for this foreign parasite. Research materials and methods: After examining and confirming the nature of 80 larvae, the two larvae were placed on a piece of square cut tissue 5 cm long, 5 cm long and 5cm wide and 2 cm high from the Nasopharyngeal of slaughtered sheep. In both plants, after collection, it entered the extraction stage. Extraction was performed in the usual way and it was divided into four mixtures of aqueous tobacco extract, aqueous Scrophularia striata extract, a mixture of tobacco extracts and Scrophularia striata in equal amounts and the control group. The effect of parasiticide was investigated by immersion in the desired extract. Findings: Aqueous tobacco extract showed a good positive result in treatment after three days of the experimental process and on the third day we witnessed complete separation of the larvae and a mixture of both extracts was obtained simultaneously with the tobacco extract after three days and Scrophularia striata extract was able to do this in 5 days and in our control group, until the 12th day and until complete corruption of the samples, no isolation was done. Conclusion: It can be concluded that the aqueous extract of Scrophularia striata and Nicotianatabacum is a low-cost, low-risk and organic way to treat myiasis larvae in humans and animals. The perfect cure for this annoying parasite in humans that can be a complete treatment for this annoying parasite in humans in case of contact of this fluid with the larvae attached to different parts of human body such as Nasopharyngeal and ear mucosa.
