In rapidly changing political, economic and social environments with uncertainty, organizations that are able to ensure creativity, innovation and human resource development, can continue their existence. There are many different aspects in a research on the recognition of effective creativity and innovation. One of these aspects is leadership. Transformational leaders seek new ways of working, new opportunities that empower employees to achieve their objectives.This paper aims to study the relationship between transformational leadership and organizational creativity and innovation in Iranian private insurance companies. Our data is obtained by questionnaires using stratified sampling methods. To measure organizational creativity and innovation, 138 senior managers from private insurance companies were selected. 300 employees were also included in our sample for the transformational leadership questionnaires. We used Lisrel software to analyze this data for inclusive CFA and structural equation modeling (SEM). Our results indicate that there is a positive relationship between leadership and organizational innovation with organizational creativity as mediator. We report an index of goodness of fit which is within its bounds. Our results further indicate that attention to innovation enhancement should be considered in planning for growth and development in insurance industry.
