Abstract:

This article investigates the factors affecting the acceptance of the GCOMS system using the IDT-TAM model. Currently, GCOMS is used as a backup system in Iranian ports. As a preliminary step, some managers and agents of Bushehr Port who use the GCOMS were interviewed in order to identify the factors affecting the acceptance of new technologies. After classifying the effective factors and studying reliable acceptance technology models, these factors turned out to fit both the IDT and TAM models. Thus a combination of the two models was utilized for the research project. To increase the reliability, all of the Bushehr Prt Personnel were considered as statistical society. In order to collect information, a questionnaire consisting of closed-ended questions was used and its reliability and validity were confirmed by experts using Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The statistical society consisted of those employees of the Ports and Maritime Organization who use the new computer GCOMS system. In order to achieve a higher certainty about the results, the whole statistical society was used as the sample. The results of the research revealed that the acceptance of a new technology has a positive and meaningful correlation with its perceived ease of use, relative advantage, perceived image, visibility of other users, compatibility, trial ability and its result demonstrability. The results also show that there is no meaningful relationship between the voluntariness of using a system and its acceptance.

Abstract:

Purpose: This paper seeks to present a way to show the intention to share explicit and tacit knowledge and its impact on actual knowledge-sharing behavior.Methodology: Field data were collected from a total of 30 employees from Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization. They belong to two working groups, the first group is research center's experts and the second group is middle managers.Structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to assess the research model.Findings: SEM shows that the intention to share explicit knowledge influences explicit knowledge-sharing behavior to an equal extent both directly and indirectly. By contrast, tacit knowledge-sharing behavior is influenced directly to a greater extent by the intention to share tacit knowledge and less indirectly by the intention to share explicit knowledge.Research limitations: The study provides a method that may be applied by managers for the purpose of measuring explicit and tacit knowledge-sharing intention and behavior. Its limitations are due to the limited socioeconomic and geographic variability of the people and companies. The Hypothesis:Hypothesis 1: Employees' intention to share explicit knowledge is positively related to their explicit knowledge sharing behavior.Hypothesis 2: Employees' intention to share tacit knowledge is positively related to tacit knowledge sharing behavior.Hypothesis 3: Employees' intention to share explicit knowledge is positively related to intentions to share tacit knowledgeHypothesis 4: Employees' TKS behavior is positively related to EKS behavior.Hypothesis 5: Intention to explicit knowledge sharing has an indirect effect on increasing explicit knowledge sharing behavior, via the intention to share tacit knowledge and by extension tacit knowledge sharing behavior.

Abstract:

Nowadays, internet and electronic services is a powerful tool for all the people and all the services (e.g., economic services). Governments are one of the main and biggest users of these services. Calling the services "Electronic Government", governments compete with each other to apply them.Identifying the concepts, dimensions, functions, and obstacles to use these services is a big step to extend "Electronic Government Culture" that insures future successes. Defining an effective and successful electronic government, common frameworks, services solidarity, and customer orientation, this article tries to establish an approach that discusses the intervals from different standpoints. In this article, the implementation model which is the basis for implementing and structuralizing is also considered. Finally, this article analyzes the attributes, strategies, and deployment process which are fundamental principles of electronic government. If act, results would cover under-supervision organizations and metropolitan governments.

Abstract:

The discovery of oil in the Persian Gulf during 1930-1940s led to a significant increase in shipping activities and was responsible for the economic prosperity and geopolitical importance of the region at the present time. It is estimated that 2000 to3000 tankers pass the Strait of Hormuz annually. This is 40% of the oil shipping traffic in the world waterways. Oil pollution in the Persian Gulf area is about 15-20% of the total oil spillage in the marine environment, which is estimated to be about 160 million tons annually. Oil spillage has a great impact on animals, coral reefs, fisheries, Beaches, human health and tourism. In the this work, the performances of three different sorbents - namely, tire powder, polypropylene fibers, and scrap tire based composites (STBC) - are compared in terms of oil sorption capacity and oil recovery efficiency. STBC acts as a sorbent of oil spills contaminations. Due to the importance of recycling worn-out tires and environmental problems accompanying the worn out tires and also because of hydrophobic surface property of rubber sorbents, STBC could be regarded among the inexpensive and accessible sorbents for eliminating the oil pollutions. This article - beside the above mentioned technologies - presents a new technology to absorb oil pollution, which is Nano-Technology. Nanotechnology is a revolution in absorbance system.

Abstract:

As approximately 2500 trucks transport cargo to and from Imam Khomeini Port and it is very inefficient and time consuming to register their traffic information manually, it is necessary to use an automation system to monitor truck traffic and performance of port bottlenecks like bascules, interchange gates, warehouses, and quays. Therefore, after different field and documental studies, RFID was chosen from among different Auto – ID techniques like barcode, smart card, ANPR, GPS, etc. This article investigates the executive strategy for implementing this technique at Imam Khomeini port as pilot port to achieve the objectives of Port and Maritime Organizations.
