"Vamegh and Azra" the love story in Iranian literature has been reported in many ways. Some believe its origin is Greece, some Iranian, and others Arabic. The oldest reports of this story still available are the ones by Onsori and Tarsoosi. Mohamad Lameiy, Ghatili Bokharaie, Sarfi, Keshmiri, Shoaib Joshaghani, Solhi,Moosavinami, Zahir and Hossaini Shirazi.
In Hossaini Shirazi's version, for the first time the story has been mingled with the love story of Soad and Salma.
